The condition called amblyopia or Lazy Eye is when one eye works better than the other. You brain decides to use your good eye so over time the neural connection to the bad eye becomes weaker. The way this condition is currently treated is the patient has to wear a patch over there good eye for 400 hours forcing the bad eye to work. The only problem is that this can cause the eye not to work together.

According to a study done by researchers at Nottingham University they believe that video games do help. They are using virtual reality treatment which encourages the lazy eye to become more active plus it helps your eyes work better together. Some of the games being used are racing games (not to sure which ones) where the computer sends images of the players own car to the amblyopic eye but the other cars go to the good eye. They are finding that in 1 hours of playing the game they get the same results as wearing the patch for 400 hours without the double vision from the eyes not working together.

Not only will you be able to get better treatment for you eyes you can have fun doing it.

Only time I have lazy eye is when I'm drunk, but pfh, that's normal.

Actually I'm almost legally blind in my right eye, and it used to be really bad, where it wouldn't even look the same way as my other eye, atleast I don't look retarded anymore. But around the same time I got glasses I got my first console, so I have no idea if it was video games or glasses.

More than likely though, it's because I'm such a bad ass that my eye was scared of having it's ass beaten if it didn't straighten out.
