Live Download stats and a hint of new content

Xbox 360 owners certainly know how to make use of their Xbox Live Marketplace. Microsoft announced that over 10 million downloads have occurred from the Marketplace, and said forthcoming downloads include new cars and achievements for Project Gotham Racing 3.

Microsoft says the 10 mil was reached in a quicker time than Apple's iTunes music store, and is due to more than 85% of all Xbox 360's connected via Xbox Live having downloaded at least one piece of content since launch last November. These items include themes and picture packs, game demos, film trailers or full Live Arcade titles.


Also, Microsoft hyped new Xbox Live Arcade titles coming soon, including a full free version of Texas Hold 'Em Poker by Riverbelle casino, the card game Uno, and Capcom's arcade classic Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting.


Three of Microsoft's launch titles also have new content set to be available for download, with new cars and achievements promised for Project Gotham Racing 3, Perfect Dark Zero will get new multiplayer maps, and Kameo: Elements of Power will receive new online co-operative gameplay options and costumes for the characters.


All new content is good but I really like the idea of releasing new Achievements for PGR3!!

New achievements for PGR3 + the Texas Hold 'Em game interest me a lot.

Especially seeing as I'll be pokering for nothing. Whooo!


The new maps on PDZ is great news as well. Means we might find some more alternatives for the 360 Monster get-togethers. :cool:

Yeah, it's good to know that good games get updates like PGR3, new achie. makes keep the game even longer!
Uno is a funny card game, it can be fun to play online with friends.
Just hope it doesn't come all at the same time!

That great greta news! Some more things to do on PGR - means that's good. New maps on PDZ is brilliant as im still addicted to that game so that would be truly awesome and Texas Hold 'Em is just well kwl.

I like this news of new acheivments and things of that nature, it keeps the game fresh and people interested in the game

yeah, new achievements= the bomb. :D .
maybe they can update other games where you can get the achievements just clicking your fingers to having harder ones.
how many points do you reckon the pgr ones will have? surly it cany be many :brow

Great to see there will be some more achievments for Project Gothem Racing 3, the game currently has a total of 900 gamerscore to get so I am assuming they will add a few more achievments to take the total up to 1000 right?

I'm guessing that would be why, yeah. No other reason for them not filling up the 1,000 achievement point places unless they're going to be introducing some stuff later on.

More games should do that - ya know, bring out more achievemtns and that. Although, people who have sold the game thinking they have done all the achievements would be a bit gutted.

Can't wait for new PDZ maps. :D

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what they come up with.

I'm hoping for some Goldeneye recreations. That would be 1337. :D
