The Japanese development community has reacted positively to Sony's PS3 launch proposals, which will be undergo a simultenous world-wide release in November, they also welcomed the additional development time. Heres what some of them had to say;
Konami:
"Its very good the release period has been clarified. In our terms of the development schedule, we trust the delay will enable us to make sure we deliver better quality in our games"
Square Enix:
"Its been reported as a [delay], but the PS3's previously unknown release date has become clear and we are glad to hear it"
Capcom:
"The hardwares release period has been set, so we will be throwing out full effort into developing games for it" (one being the anticipated Resident Evil 5)
Bandai:
"Bandai already has PS3 titles in development" "We are fundametally receiving the announcment with a favourable view"
Koei:
"It will be a major delay, but now the release date has been decided we can target it & make further quality improvements. We would like to polish our products, so they take full advantage of the PS3"
