Microsoft has put together a decent FAQ and troubleshooter HERE (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/livefeatures/marketplace-faq.htm)

So if you are having slow downloads etc, you now know where to go :)

Nice find but I thought that guide was pretty useless tbh.

Why didn't they just say ' Is your download taking a ridiculously long time? Is it new on the Market Place? Well then it's because every man and his dog are trying to download it at the same time!!'

That's how it was last night with Burnout Revenge....took an hour to get to 47%, cancelled it and will resume today when the traffic is a bit lower.

my downloads are really slow, didnt find that guide much use to be honest though thanks for posting it up Bingo, appreciated.

the only download i remember i had some prob. was madden!
but i think its normal it goes slow the first hours the demo comes out.

I tried downloading The Outfit demo when it was first released, but it never actually completed, because I gave up on it. It was sitting there for around an hour, and barely got up to 40%. Not good enough, in my opinion.

The reason I want a demo is to get a quick sample of a game to see if it's going to be worth my while. Hardly a quick sample if you spend 3 hours downloading it...
