At CeBIT 2006 this year Astek showed off its latest line in CPU cooling devices. The new system called 'the Waterchill Mirco' comes completely installed in a box with tubes, radiators, and fans all assembled.

The most interesting unit on display with this system was the Xbox 360. Currently in the prototype stage of development, the units are probably a little larger than production systems will end up.

Having something like this little device helping out cooling the Xbox 360 is sure to be a big winner for those worried about the the 360's somewhat warmish running conditions.

Do you think they could make one with a DVD Drive that doesnt sound as if it wants to take off when its in use?

ye lol, most of the time when ive been playing for a good few hours the disks i pull out of the 360 are boiling hot, also the brick (Powerpack) get extremely hot, so i wouldn't mind getting that cooling system

Point a fan at your console or open a window. Heating issues with a 360 don't need modding, just ventilation.

Adding a pump and reservoir to your 360 would do nothing to the temperature of the powerbrick. In fact, this depicted setup makes me think it's made to use the 360's power supply, which would, if anything, make the brick run hotter.

As for the DVD drive, they've already switched to quieter ones. Xbox1 had at least three different drives. It's just a matter of being able to buy as many as possible for as little as possible.
