Terra Formations

Most recently the announcement of Terra Formation has caused quite a stir. The title is set to be a MMOFPSRTSRPG. That means a massively multiplayer, first person shooter, real time strategy, RPG. As the developers, Irish Cave Studios, only opened shop in the summer of 2004 the game is still in early development.

In Terra Formation you will have the chance to fight upon the battlefield with fellow soldiers, which explains the MMO and FPS aspects of the title. You will also have the chance to raise your stats explaining the RPG aspects. However, most interesting is the fact that you will also have the chance to choose to become a battle commander and have reign over the battlefield. It will be interesting to see how this aspect of commanding other people works within the game world.

A few screenshots are out but keep in mind that this title is in very early development so it does not look to snazzy yet.

The screenshots look nice but weapon detail is poor. Looks like Quake 3 Arena + Tribes. It sounds like a good idea but trying to mix so many types of games into one could lead to an overall poor game. Will be interesting to keep an eye on this one as any new games for the 360 is a good thing :)
