Some bad news for fans :(

Sports Interactive have confirmed that they will be unable to release a demo for Football Manager 2006 through the Xbox Live Marketplace or with any Xbox 360 magazines.

The football management sim has a cult following amongst football fans throughout the world and this news will come as a major disappointment to them.

Miles Jacobsen, Managing Director of Sports Interactive said: "Unfortunately we found out yesterday that, for reasons very much beyond our control, and despite us doing a lot of work on it, we are going to be unable to provide a demo through marketplace or Xbox magazines.

We're very disappointed with this, but there is nothing we can do about it."

Football Manager 2006 will be a region-free release and is available in Europe for the Xbox 360 from April 13th 2006.

Doesn't bother me, I own the game on PC and already know what it is like. Therefore I know what to expect and I know it will be great, however if the console version of the game is different to the PC version then maybe I will be disappointed in not being able to download a demo.

I could never fathom the appeal of these games. My brother used to be addicted to them, he would sit for hours on end playing them.

I'm like that as well, although I'm really not sure why.

Football Manager games, despite being so incredibly simple, are absolutely brilliant. Once you get into a game, you can never stop playing it.

Football Managers are NOTHING compared to the old Champ Mans. NOTHING! :D

Have they gave a reason why they aren't releasing one?

Of course you can, just put a time restriction on it...so 15 or 30 mins and the demo quits out....easy!

They had one on pc were you did a quickstart league from a certain country then managed a team for half a season. Not really bothered about there being a demo since I have the pc version to hold me over untill this comes out
