Button has just won the Monaco Grand Prix. :D Good on him,

Anyone else watch it? I'm really enjoying BBC's coverage at the moment!!!!

F1 used to be boring because Ferrari had the best car, then it had a couple of good seasons where it was a fairly level playing field again, and now it's back to the old boredom because Brawn are completely dominating, purely because their car is the best.

And what makes it worse is that while that smug ------ Schumacher was winning races, at least you knew he was actually good. Jenson Button is a very average driver.

Afro jo you cant say Jenson is an very average driver, he has always been a top class driver all through out his racing life, as are all F1 drivers (or they would'nt be in the sport). the times show for themselfs the top 12 runners are all within 700 hundreds of a second of one and other few Q1 and Q2. Webber and Vettel are always setting the fastest lap times during the race. The fact is Ross Brawn is a master of strategy that why M schumacher won under him!

BBC coverage is the best I love the red button and it continues with the forum for ages afterwards

Button had 1 win in over 100 races before he joined Brawn.

You can call him a top class driver if you like, and I guess seeing as he's in F1, then there's a part of me that will agree with you. But he's not on the same level as drivers like Alonso now, or Schumacher in the past, who have proven that they can win in weaker cars.

You say Schumacher was good because Brawn was strategising for him. Unless I'm very much mistaken, Schumacher started his career by winning 2 consecutive championships in a Benetton, which had absolutely nothing to do with Ross Brawn. A weaker car, no Ross Brawn, and Schumacher still won 2 titles against opposition such as Damon Hill and Mika Hakkinen, who were in far stronger cars.

Button is nowhere near the best in F1. Well done to him for what he's achieving right now, but I can't help but think that if you put almost anyone currently racing in F1 in the same situation, they'd be getting the same results.

Firstly BBC Coverage is much better than that Rubbish on ITV to many breaks were on there.

Now for the driveing no one will catch Button now he has the Title in the Bag all cars should have the same spec not right seeing Hamilton being lapped twice world champ just weird.

Good to see Button doing well he is a good driver but his car is far superior than the rest.

No you right Schumacher is the best driver of modern times theres no disputing that, but it's good to see that when the cars are even (ish) there is more than one contender for a race win and for now button is better than the rest.

But the cars aren't even. The situation with Brawn's controversial diffuser has created arguably an even greater difference in the best car (the Brawn) and the next contender right now, than there ever was between the Ferraris and everyone else when Schumacher was there.

correct me if i'm wrong but im sure Ross Brawn had something to do with bentaton or how ever you spell it. Don't know if you saw the race at the weekend but looks like red bull are catching brawn up car wise.

I think the next race will show a true read of the new red bull upgrades, if they say that fast then Button better watch out Vettle will be all over him like a rash! It would be nice to see Webber win some races this year the same gose for ruben,

Well after Silverstone if Brawn dont make any updrades on there car I can see Vettel in particular catching button within next 4 races. In a way even though I am routing for Button I never like any championsip in any sport being a 1 man race to the finish makes it boreing.
