That's right. Those poor little fanboys are crying again. But for why this time? Well, would you believe it, Killzone 2 didn't get an 11/10. SHOCK HORROR. TEH BEST VIDJAGAME EVER DIDN'T GET A PERFECT SCORE. But what did it get? A great score and still the fanboys cry.
The uproar was started when TotalVideoGames review of the game was posted and they gave the game an 8/10 saying it was "Undoubtedly a visual masterpiece that proves the PS3 does have the power to carry the format forwards, KillZone 2 is a wonderfully solid and entertaining first-person shooter. Although it falls short of offering a genre defining experience, the combination of a rewarding single-player campaign and deep multiplayer means KillZone 2 is certainly a worthwhile purchase - and of course the ludicrously high presentation make it all the more sweeter."
Now, read that extract back to yourself and tell me what is so overtly wrong with that. Done? Did you find anything? No, nor did I. That shows Killzone 2 in a very positive light, criticising only it's lack of originality which is granted in the world of FPS titles in this era. Yet this review sparked some incredibly hostile comments from readers and, I heard, the writer received some very nasty emails as a result.
