Alright everyone over the years a lot of you have had to send your 360s back to microsoft. So i thought who better ask than you lot :) Ive got a 360 core ive had this one since 18/5/07 so its 19months old and a few weeks ago i got the red ring it was a E74 error. So a few questions. Will microsoft repair it or will i have to get fixed. What happens if i tell them its the three red rings. As ive been told that they replace them at any age? Thanks.

Microsoft will repair any console with the Red Ring of Death as long as it is within the 3 year warranty (which all but launch consoles are). It's worth trying to send Microsoft your console claiming you got the RRoD and they will no doubt fix it anyway.

Yeah :-) Check out the support section on their website to register it. Much quicker than ringing up india and the automated service.

One of my 360's had an intermittent 3 RROD error, sometime it worked for weeks then RROD when you powered it on, turn it off and on again and it would work fine. I registered the console on the MS website, reported an intermittent RROD and was sent the shipping label. Console was returned in just over a week. Dont faff around just bite the bullet and send it away for repair. Its free :) The whole internals of my machine where replaced so its basically a new console you get in your old case.
