Sony have finally taken a page out of Microsoft's book by launching MyPSN. MyPSN allows gamers to track online friends, create a personal and portable ID and also allows the ability to take part in various events.

Your ID contains your PSN avatar, Online ID, current mood, favourite console and more, all of which can be embedded to be used in forum signatures.

Sony also say that 'Over time, the portable ID will evolve to include Trophies and achievments.'

To make use of this new MyPSN head over to http://uk.playstation.com/psn/ and sign up.

Let us know your thoughts on the new MyPSN by leaving a comment below!

Agreed. Gamercards are a big deal, cant imagine the 360-ness without them.
