Just in case there is anyone here without a HDD

I know most people here run their consoles with hard drives, but..

My bro-in-law is more of a casual gamer, so he got himself an Xbox Arcade. Since NXE he has found himself quite short of space on his memory unit, and was quite annoyed (he got his aracde console less than 12 months ago).

However we went to www.xboxstorageupgrade.com/ last night and he has ordered a 20Gb HDD for £12.99 delivered. Okay it's refurbished, but if you look at the prices some of the second hand drives are going for on eBay, it's still quite a bargain. Even I was pleasantly surprised at the cost.

Just wanted to pass the info on, you need your console id and serial number to qualify (and to be signed in to Xbox.com). If you've not got a HDD and fancy a cheap way of upgrading your storage, you might want to consider this

damn! Nice find. I've installed GOW2 on mine and have very little room left for anything.

Wanted to get the C&C 3 demo last night but would have had to delete something to get it. Might get me one of these just to keep demos and videos on.

Thought this was common knowledge or would've posted it ages ago.

You have to make sure you have a core/arcade as they check the serial number provided...if the serial is from a Premium/Pro then you won't be eligible. I've also heard they check to see if you've connected a HDD to your console (they're all ID'd and tagged) so if you have used a HDD previously you won't be eligible....but not 100% on that last part.

Yeah sorry, probably should have been more specific about the fact that it's only eligible for Arcade owners. My bad.
But seeing as my bro-in-law wasn't aware of the offer (and I wasn't aware of how cheap it was - seeing as I am not eligible either), thought I'd share
