What can we look forward to?

Well I'v been wondering, is there any good games coming out soon?
I remember when Modern Combat first came out, I couldn't get off it! (I'm talking like years now lol) then when Bad Company came out I was seriously dissapointed.

So CoD 4: MW is what I'm playing most of the time now, but what games can I look forward to in the future that I can play like BF? I mean is there any good games coming out this/next year?

COD6 is in development by Infinity Ward and is due out sometime in 09.

Halo: ODST, previously known as 'Recon' is due out fall next year.

Never really liked Halo, seemed to be the same thing again after the first one... Do you know if CoD 6 is Modern or WWI/I?

Erm, not sure what you mean by that. Sequels generally base themselves on the previous game in the series. Not only that, Bungie always add innovations that the gaming industry follow up on suit with.

On that note, what did you think of GOW2?

It also surprised me that someone such as yourself who seems keen on the war based FPS like COD, MoH etc would be disappointed with Halo's apparent lack of reinvention.

Also, I might add. Halo: ODST is a game that does not follow the storyline of the Master Chief, but a soldier on a reconnaissance mission. It's a grittier game, with a different person you play as and has unique gameplay aspects. I don't know how it could get any further away from what as been the norm whilst remaining in the Halo universe and staying as a FPS.

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet. I think I read somewhere on these forums that IW may have the rights to continue the future based war games, and Treyarch will continue to base the games on previous wars.

Although it's just a rumour, I think it's highly likely as CoD4 was praised by all for it's futuristic setting, and many felt that the series was taking a turn for the worse when it was announced that CoD5 wouldn't continue the new trend.

Also: halo ODST will be more of a NCIS type game, wich solving puzzles and finding out what happened, and some tactical shooting in between, as you dont play as the masterchief, so going toe to toe with a bunch of brutes would just get you killed :)

There are a few games on my Radar for the start of the year.

Resident Evil 5 and SFIV should be excellent.

Looks like the 360 is getting a demo of RE5 before xmas according to the latest issue of Famitsu in Japan. No details on when or if a Demo is forthcoming for the PS3 though.

Also looking forward to R-Type on XBLA. I am gonna try and clear it with one life :)

I don't tend to like games like Halo, there not 'real' if you get me? But after I played the first Halo and then Halo 2 it felt as if it was the same thing so it just made my mind up... Love it or you hate it I guess.

Yeaa I hope it is in the future, I love World At War but Modern Warefare was so much better!

I hope theres some good FPS coming out like Rainbow or something, never played GRAW 2 to be honest, never really got into it. I might splash out on some old games this weekend like GRAW 2, and RBS Vegas 2 etc etc to get my back in to good'ol Xbox :D

GRAW2 = joint best shooter released on the 360. And my joint top favourite shooter of all time.
The first RB6 Vegas was awesome, the second was a complete let down.
Vegas 1 is what it is joint with.

I would love to see a game envolving the Avatars! Lmfeo, like Battlefield have made Heros. Imagine being able to roam around something like GTA with your avatar, be great fun!
