Well, my xbox 360 has RROD one day before gears of war 2. :(
I have decided that i am going to buy a console tomorrow so i was wondering (baring in mind i have limited funds) which version of the 360 i should buy.
Should i go for the cheap arcade console and just swap the hard drive?
Should i get the 60GB premium for extra space?
Or should i get the costly elite?
Any pro's and con's with these versions would be much appreciated as it will help me choose the console.

If you can afford the elite I would opt for that, had no trouble with mine at all. You can still send your broken one off to Microsoft to get it fixed for free as well though.

Elite is definately the way to go, Ive had 4 xboxes and since i got my elite it has only once froze (due to my Zune).

I've got an elite and its frozen a couple of times, but only during fallout 3, wich i guess is due to some bug in fallout itself.

unless you got someone to sell your old xbox to lined up already, i'd just recommend buying the cheapest xbox, the arcade, and swap your stuff to that, as its the cheapest, and the least hassle with savegames and arcadegame licenses.

remember, if you buy a new xbox, and you want to swap stuff to it, the new harddrive will have to be empty. so you cant use your new elite's harddrive till you got the transfer kit from microsoft, wich will take a while to arrive.

Go for the elite. 120gb hdd will be useful for installing all them games come the new dash.

Does your Zune ever ---- out on you when you are playing music on it through your 360?

I can only listen to maybe, 3 songs before it craps out and loses it's sinc, so I have to disconnect the cable, reattatch and go back into the select music thing again. It happens over and over, I'm sick of it.

What gen Zune do you have btw? I have the very first thing, so that might make a difference, I dunno.
