Nah i didn't do that ----, i made a modded map on the pit, got over 2000dls :) on B.net; on the map i made some actual screens, and security cameras that were full functional, and other tidbits; pelican etc. Also i did some recon films. :)

And got banned :)

First I heard of this was when Jam Man left me some messages on messenger. Then I look at this thread and see that I'm already involved and I hadn't said a ----ing word to him before he made the thread. haha

I assume there will be criteria for the clip. e.g "Best clip involving sniping" so that could be interpreted as no-scopes, sniping multikills etc. Just whatever happens on the day really that he decides to create the competition.

First one is going to be, Best Stick ;), i'll make a new thread over the weekend for your submissions. If someone could capture them that would be grand, as even people without H3 could vote. Also, i'm not sure how voting is gonna work yet. I'm thinking everybody pm's me their choice with a small description of the clip just so i know you've seen it. If anyone else has any other suggestions, go for it. Hopefully it will all be flowing by Monday next week. Oh and if ant decides to donate a prize from the swag bag then yeah, there'll be a prize, if not, you just gain the knowledge that we all got an erection over your clip.

Oh and don't forget, if you dont play H3 anymore, you can still enter, just have a look through your clips and upload it, won't take long :)

Use Gamevee.com to grab yer videos guys, you'll have to sign up, but it's free.

And how about each week opening a new thread for each film called: "Week One Halo 3 Video contest". Opening it up for video submitions and banter for 4 days then after 4 days make a poll on the thread for Votes.

First post on the thread (yours) should contain all Videos submitted, links and description. Then banter in the post can continue and you can update the threads first post every now and again :p

Nice ideas Snowy, but I don't see how this could be popular enough with the release of the christmas games literally upon us.

7 People have posted in this thread. 2 of those were off topic, 1 person came in to slag the game off as he had ---- all else better to do and 1 has a banned theater.

And as I said, it's not going to get anymore active as there's a ---- load of games coming out atm.

But I'm still up for having a bash at it, what's the worst that can happen?

Fleeboi, you're such a negger. You are kind of right though. Four days isn't enough time for submissions, we'd need like ten to fiteen people for that to work. So i'm just gonna leave submissions open for as long as it needs to be, but not too long. I'll just have to find a balance between amount of clips submitted and the time it took. After that, voting will be open for as long as it takes also.
I'll update my first post no problems, as long as everybody's first post has their submission link in. That link will be a link to your b.net fileshare of the video preferably. That way we can all cue your video for download. If you haven't got a b.net account we'll just have to all be on eachothers friends list so we can view eachothers fileshare on our boxes.
The thread titles will be somewhere along the lines of what Snowy said just without the "week 1" thing. We'll try that website next time snowy, i just wanna sort it all out for now. I wanna eventually get someone to capture them so we can view the clips on our computers and stuff.

depends really. It shouldnt be to hard to get some arcade codes to give away so might try and get a few of them. (similar to the Dodgeball competition we ran)

Also contacted CDWOW.com etc about stuff. Big companies like that however will only sponsor comps if they are going to get a lot of publicity, which if Forum only that won't happen :(

Rather than limit the vid to a stick, why nt have it like MLG do. Just a video of pure awesomeness. I mean , how many of us actualy get impressiv sticks? Whereas awesome ness has no limites. could be an amaxing double kill, triple kill, kill frenzy etc

Make a time limit on the vid, i.e it cant last longer than a minute or somehting.

to me I dont think you will get enough responses when it's stick and stick only.

In order to make this work though a capture card is required. It's the one thing that none of us have, so I'm looking into it atm.

The thing is a friend and I are currently in the process of creating a fan site for a popular game franchise (not Halo!) and I figured this would be a good way to get the new site some exposure. The site won't be up and running for at least a year anyhow but getting this sort of information ahead of time is never a bad thing.
