Hey guys, I have been very upset like the rest of you about the Call of Duty 2 multiplayer. It is an insult to the great World War II game of all time and it angers me so much especially because there is no way to set up a tournament for. I was talking to my friend over Xbox LIVE and we were talkign about how we could set up a COD 2 tourney. Well we looked into the System Link and apparently there is a way we can all link together and connect through the System Link. We aren't sure how buy my bud told me that there is a way, and he will look into it.

Anybody know anything about this becuase if we can figure a way how to master the Call of Duty 2 online multiplayer in a way we can stay in the same party you will not regret it.

I think you may mean this:

"First you need two people

Player one needs to:
Go to system link and create a game (pick the level and set the times (30, 45, or 60mins) now just stay at the screen don't start the game

player two starts a different game like (pdz or an acrade game (so you don't have to change disks))
then player two invites player one to his game

player one accepts the invite but when it said you will have to log out of pd2 click no

**and now you should be the host of the game and it will be set to the lvl and time limit you set **
good luck and have fun"

Give it a shot.

So then I could invite fellow gamers from Xbox LIVE to come and play with us? I thought there was a way you didn't need two guys, but does it have to be two seperate Xbox 360s or two people over LIVE. Just clarify a little more, because me and my buddy will definatley do this tonight if it is two seperate Xbox 360s over live.

I've not done it mate....this has been posted all over the net though.

You'll have to try it and see exactly what you can do with it or search the net for more info.

Steve, are you asking about using System Link in general, or about the glitch in COD2 that allows you to set gametype and stuff on XBL using System Link?

The glitch on COD 2 I think.

Ah. Well, then thats how you do it. Two people, two 360s, active Live connections.

Can I Invite other people into the system link after that or do I have to do that with every player?

It worked! Oh this is so great! Finally we can organize some sort of consistant play. If you guys want we can organize get together and even tourneys. Supposabley there will be an update later this week to redo the multiplayer entirly so maybe this wont matter in a couple of days but if an update doesn't arrive that Id be more than happy to do this. Wow, me and my bud both hopped on and we were ****ting our pants, and hardly no lag too.

Apparantly with the new upate they are completely changing the UI of the MP so this could mean a lobby system maybe! And possibly more players online if they are sensible

Yeah that would be great. I mean who doesn't love Call of Duty 2, the game is great. If they can make a lobby system and/or matchroom service where you can host and join matches, that would be perfect.

That is pretty cool that you can play over the Xbox 360 without having access to Xbox Gold. If only I knew before I bought it...just kidding, who the hell would give up Xbox Gold for a system link network?
