Yes, I believe this is when Sony will be showing everything. I mean look at the first sentence- The Annual Devstation show is going to be entirly based around the Playstation3. This is going to hopefully be when Sony releases all Specs information, launch dates and most importantly- the price. They have stated that the Merril Lynch report was false so hopefull they are telling the truth on that. I guess we will have to wait until this show.

If Sony does not show the Playstation 3 at their biggest developers meeting then they will be throwing themselves into a pit of lava. If there ever was such a perfect time it would be at the beginning of the quarter. Hopefully at IGDA tonight they will get something done, and finally finalize prices with their developers and then wait to announce it at Devstation.

Xbox Fans- if Sony does not announce anything, you guys can very well take the top prize.

The Merril Lynch report was estimating how much the price would be FOR Sony, not for consumers. It's pretty well understood that Sony's going to take a serious loss for every console it sells. How much they're willing to lose is up to them.

If I were them, the price is the last thing I'd release at this conference. Do devs need to know? No. Is it something they'd want to commit themselves to only at the last minute? Seems likely.
