Xbox 360 Controller Colors

Does anybody know if they are making new colors of the Xbox 360 controller? (or perhaps controller faceplaters). I still want it to have that same feel the Xbox 360 controller has which is a rough kinda of smooth grounded feeling which is perfect for grip. I personally, hated the new mad catz controller and I hope they do not make different colors based around that version but around the original Xbox 360 controller.

I think eventually they will get round to releasing new coloured consoles, and of course to partner them, new coloured controllers.

Not until the first lot of pricecuts, though, I doubt. And that could be a while off, what with the current competition situation (PS3 + Revolution delays).

So, yeah, eventually there will be new colours, but I'm guessing not for a while yet.

That would make a whole lot of sense because the PS3 and the Revolution have both shown different colors for their consoles, and some of the colors look tight like the Red Revolutions and the Black PS3s, but I like the way the Xbox 360 looks. I don't want to see a change in that rather a change in the colors schemed on the controller, but keep the same feel to it.

Did Xbox1 have any official first party controllers of a different color?

This seems like the realm of third party or skins.

I had a RED and GOLDEN N64 controller were great and I believe they were a big success.

Meh, those controller faceplate didn't look so good in my opinion. Sure they were ok but they weren't anything special. Im hoping they will release actual controllers of different colors with the same feel to it because the feel you get with Xbox 360 controller is perfect and if they do come out with different colors sets I hope they dont mess with the 360 padding.

I don't really fancy seeing new controllers with different types of colours to be honest. I would rather it just sticks with the white. I mean it looks sexy as it is, no need to be getting anymore colour schemes for the controller as it is perfectly fine the way it is now.

But to answer the question no, I haven't heard anything about new colour controllers.

Now that looks really nice. But then again is that just like a rubber add on thing? Its kind of like one of those rubber things you strap on a pencil for its can comfort your hands. Personally I think it would rip easily, dont you think so? If that was pre painted on I might of bought it. Then again all it would be was a small paint add on and then the price of the controller will go up to a price of a video game itself. I hope Microsoft can figure something cool to do and to stick away from these faceplates which are so ugly in my opinion.

It would be cool if they made a glow up controller for the 360 or a see through one which lets you see the inside of the controller. Might look weird but it worked for the Playstation versions. Im not getting bored of the standard white versions but a nice change of color wouldn't be the worst thing. Im pretty sure they will showing a new version of the Xbox 360 and its controllers either this E3 or at the next Microsoft get together. Can't wait to see the new additions they give out for us!!

As I said, I don't think Microsoft itself will release any new controllers. They're too proud of these. The only reason they phased out the Duke was the sense that, well. Everyone hated them. Certainly not true for these. The only complaint I've seen is someone on the official forums complaining that his inch long thumbnail would hit the back button when he hit the D-Pad. He was thoroughly flamed.

As for the skins, they're vinyl, and this particular site uses the same vinyl they produce their car decals with, which I assume are designed to withstand outdoor conditions of varying weather. So I would bet that no, if properly applied, they wouldn't rip easily. How much friction does one put on the plain white surface of one's controller? Almost none, almost never.
