I have decided, even though I am new here and Im not sure if Im allowed to do this but to organize a Project Gotham Racing tournament for the community of 360monster.com this next Saturday March 11th.
How it will work?

This Sunday we will set up two rooms both will holding 7 players. One hosted by me and one hosted by my friend GoldenHawk 912. We will do 3 race (all the specifications of the race types will be announced when the player assignments for each room are announced) and all of your points from the 3 races will be added up together to create one total amount for each of the competitors. The host will be racing as well, but his stats will not count towards the overall standings but just be another racer. The Top 3 racers from each group will return for a second room being hosted by me on the following sunday at the same time for a 6 man race. 3 races, race types and car class will be announced as soon as sign ups for the Saturday race are announced.

If you wish to sign up just say Im in with your gamertag so I can add you to my friends list. Make sure you check you connection before start up time so we dont have any connection or lag problems.
ONE MAJOR RULE : MUST HAVE A HEADSET
That's a great idea i'm up for it, but I'm flying on friday but I'm taking my360 with me, I'll try to be online at a friends house, it's just that his tv is far from the modem.
I say something more later on!

I'll be up for this, should the other guys on Monster have no objections.
This Sunday, though? We already have an event organised for this Sunday... our first PGR3 meet-up... so, hmmm, I'll see how the other guys react first.
Personally, I'm all for it.
Well I put the Championship round at 12 PM ET (7 PM UK Time) so Im not sure how that conflicts with your get togethers though.

Well, ours was going to be at 8pm, so they would conflict. :)
But, I've got a feeling as this is a kind of competition, more people will be up for it. Hopefully, anyway.
Well the race should only take like 15-20 minutes and it will only be for the four who pass to the next round so you should be done in time for the PGR 3 get together.

Just to clarify, is it Saturday or Sunday, it says both in 1st post. :D
It is both. The first round is Saturday the second is Sunday.

Ah right, I'm Saturday... that's not as good for me, but I'll hopefully still be able to make it.
I will postpone the race to the next weekend if we only have like 5 competitors by sunday but if get at least 10 we will give it a go. I hope this works out, me and Goldenhawk are both excited for this.

I have Footie at 7-9pm on Sunday so that could be a problem....Saturday is fine but Sunday a definite no no. :(
Looks like numbers is gonna be an issue...maybe just a 1 room doss about first and then get more people agree to a little Tournie another time.

I did one last time change, it might be postponed if we dont get the men for it. Biglime said he would help out with the cause so we can get more people so there might be a chance if we do not have enough people the tournament will be next weekend.

I would suggest making it for next week and making it an all day event on sunday.
An all day event on Saturday of next week would be better but I think it would be an all night event for our fellow members in the UK. Yeah I think that is what will most likely happen. Plus like I said before, it might be featured on the 360monster homepage so it can get some publicity so we can get a true tournament going. It will be a small one if we do get 14 but it will still be fun.

Iwould suggest doing it in the morning around noon here in the U.S well that is usualy the time they do the get together matches on.
Well if you looka at the time it does fit the morning - noon description and it would be in the night for the UK.
Tourney has been moved to this upcoming weekend. Keep posting if you think you can make it.

Yeah, I should be able to make it.
If not enough people turn up again this week, I'd advise sending PMs to all in the PGR3 usergroup, and trying to get in contact with as many people, with update information, as early as possible.
I've found this helps when preparing this sort of thing. :)
Ok will do, if you want to help out by all means do so :p. Anybody in the mood for hoping on PGR3 in 25 minutes? (10 UK time, 5 US ET time)

Yeah, as I sad in the PM, DDW, our PGR3 get-together will be on Sunday at 8pm. It'll be organised in Tob3z's topic.
Steve is also running a competition on Saturday and Sunday (as this thread suggests :D), so it'll be a great weekend of PGR3. :D
Saturdays Races times have been changed due to the fact my bud wont be able to make it. Room A will be 7:00 GMT while Room B will be 7:20 GMT. Both will be hosted by my, so get on around 7:00 GMT if your in Room A or B. I will be inviting all the Room B players (and asking the Room A players to leave) once the first room is finished with their races.

I don't think there's going to be enough again, sadly.
Looks like I might not be able to make it either. One of my mates birthdays, and we're heading out around 7-ish. It might be later than that, in which case I could be able to play, but I'm definitely not going to be on past half 7. Bloody late-decision-making mates, eh? :D
Damn, another week we must postpone it then. We need at least 2 more players so we will get them over the next week. Sad though :(

No, the PGR3 Monster get-together is going to be next weekend. This weekend is PDZ weekend.
Steve is arranging a completely different tournament from the 360 Monster get-togethers, so this is nothing to do with them. It just might have quite a few of us participating in it. :D
Yes, it will obviously be a smaller tourney than I orignally expected. But I would want at least 2 more people before we can do this tournament. Hopefully 4 this week.

No, it was due to be yesterday, but it got moved to next week due to lack of competitors.
ok, i'm very sorry i was sitting here waiting for steve to come on LIVE at 7, and red now through the posts i got a bit confuse.
but i couldn't do it yesterday anyway.
so the date now is Sat, 11th next sat then same time 1900GMT !!
We are waiting for at LEAST one more player and hoepfully a few more. Please guys, lets have a great tournament.

For some reason PGR3 really doesn't seem to interest a lot of people on this site. It's really weird, because on most other sites I go on, people prefer this to most other games.
Here at Monster we seem to have a very PDZ-orientated audience, though.
Hopefully there'll be more interest in this before the weekend, though. I think it could be a great laugh. :)
PGR3 get together - we haven't tryed it out yet for real.
PGR3 players should give this game a try at the get togethers

Great News. Championships tomorrow and Im thinking about givign away a free copy of madden for the next tourney. Can be pay can be not, not sure atm. But we will do this championship 9PM UK TIME tomorrow Tuesday Night. Championship roster.
