DVX, stupid connection eh? ; ] Should have been able to connect but NOOO, Xbox LIVE wouldn't let us! lol... Yeah, 18 kills - 0 deaths. That was sick, but who still came top of the leaderboard ; ] LOL... We all played good, including you, RBF - if you are alot better like you said you are we'll be sick as a team.

I'm up for versing teams/ websites... but why not go one better? If we can get a squad together that are on regularly... i could set up a Team Deathmatch Team on GameBattles called ConsoleMonster.com - a great clan, a friendly team, brings more people to the site... alot of fun and probably ALOT of wins. What could go wrong ; ]

Let me know if you are all interested and i can get this going, with DVX uk's permission of course, but i could lead it since i have GameBattles experience =]

From personal experience- gamebattles is useless. If a team loses it might not submit its loss or both teams rant. The system is majorly flawed. Furthermore its an AMERICAN based site- im assuming that most members here are from the UK, so i would recommend a british based Competitive gaming site.

Gitch, i respect your argument, but you have clearly gotten your ideas about Gamebattles a bit wrong.

Yes, disputes (where the incorrect score is submitted by both teams) do happen more than they should. That's true, but GameBattles is [slogan] 'The World Leader in Online Video Game Competition', meaning that it is actually the best known place to get ready for clan matches etc...

About the disputes, we can get a member of our team to take photographic proof of our wins, so that we get the win for the particular match, and the team that disputed against us gets band... It's all good. However, the majority of matches do not get disputed, around 75% of all disputes are because of lack of maturity between the 2 parties and one team is being rude or offensive to the other. Put it this way, Everyone in Consolemonster are mature, and won't say or do anytihng abusive, disruptive and the like... Basically - All we have to do is Tie RaisedbyFlames up (; ])and we shouldn't get any disputes, and if so - we will have proof of our victory.

About being an American based site - This is true, and i can see your point - the following shows it is good for all...


They have British administrators and referees available
American admin/ referees are not allowed to be biased towards American people, they see the whole thing fairly
and the MAJOR one - there are different ladders... an NA ladder (North America) and an EU ladder (European)... So basically... we will be in EU (because of the site being based in UK) and we will be playing British teams...


So you see, it's a good way for us to make a team - plus the fact that it is all for fun, we aren't aiming to get to 1st place or anything, it's like competetive, friendly get-togethers to have a good time with other members... I canot explain it any other way really...

Hope you understand a bit more aobut GameBattles anyway, i know all about it being in around 7 clans, 5 doubles and a singles =]

www.consolegming.eu , thats the EU gamebattles, It was made by the people who used to be in gamebattles, Im in a clan on that but there is alot of ps3 activity over there aswell,
theres alot of tournements on there that are free to enter

P.S to stop disputes take pictures of the scores at the end of the match.

Anyways, i see that it is quite a good site and thanks for the recommendation. However, i would expect that GameBattles has alot more activity and it would be easier to find a match, and, as said - GameBattles does have a main British area anyways, so i think it would be easier to find match for us on GameBattles rather than your site.

Anyway, No Staff have even replied to saying Yes/No yet so we should just see, rather than just talking about which site to go through.

gamebattles is more active including the yanks but about the same for EU,
The standard of clans on gamebattles(ps3) is really poor, Most average clans on consolegaming.eu have came from gamebattles topping there ladders,
but it dont matter and im sure staff wont mind,

Dude ive had 4 different teams on GB's and i dont want to sound arrogant, but i know how the site works. Its a corrupt system- in many of the games we played the teams bought in referees who were 'good friends' with the team and just disqualified us.

Despite being a world leader in competition, there are no prizes or good competitions.
'sepcially as they are in the US.

Fair enough, but you have your opinion, the majority of people prefer GameBattles but whatever, you can't really inflict your opinion on everyone - and Rossco, seems its very much a PS3 site you have there. Since you have a PS3.

Well, i'll do it all and people should just tell me when they want a match and i can see if we have anyone interested in taking part - it is just like doing Get-Togethers - plus, calling yourself team Monster doesn't really advertise the site. Depends what the staff or Mant have to say - maybe it won't go through anyway.

Oh, and if it 'didn't work' before whats to stop putting a little moe effort in to make it work? =]

People here aren't motivated to do something like GB. I tried in the past, and like Superbean said, it doesn't work. There are definitely players that are good enough to compete at a decent level, but no-one really wants to.

But for anyone criticising GB, it is the best site out there. All you have to do is take pictures of the scoreboard at the end of every round and you're not going to have any disputes. They're clamping down hard on disputes and it's working.

And Glitch, there's a very active EU ladder on GB.

agreed, i wouldnt be interested to be honest. Been there and done it with CS:S, now i just play games for fun. If we cant get any more than 4-5 people on for a get together on COD4 we wont have much luck getting a team together frequently.

I think I'm one of the few that would be interested, but the problem is - I dont play COD, I play Battlefield.

I tell you what though, maybe I could get back into COD if it were to battle with CM.

Thanks AfroJoe for backing me up on GameBattles, they have introduced alot of new things to clamp down on disputes.

But, maybe we can make the effort in trying to make the team. AfroJoe, would you like to play? If so just let me know - because we could get a good team together, for instance, I think DVX uk would like to join - i would obviously be there, if you are wanting to join then that's already the minimum requirement... Truplaya maybe, WolvesPat probably? RaisedbyFlames... maybe?

Ah nothings wrong with it as such, I'm just bored of the gameplay. Due to overplaying it when it was first released. I'd much rather play Battlefield til the next big FPS surfaces.

If we all played Battlefield I would undoubtedly have already asked if we wanted to clan-up. But sadly, no one has time for the game here.
It's fine though, I'm sure the next chart FPS has a chance of uniting us all.

The point is though, that people here don't really want to do it. It doesn't matter about the popularity of the game - GRAW and R6V were active enough at the time that we would have been able to get loads of matches. In fact, we DID get quite a few GB matches on both of them, but the point is I tried really hard to arrange matches and then people wouldn't show up, or generally weren't bothered about them.

Like I said, good luck. Maybe people will have changed in the last couple of years, but just judging by people's reactions already it ain't gonna work.

I aren't sure whether there is the option for competetive team gaming on GameBattles and the like - sorry to hear you don't like Call of Duty 4 --- In all honesty i don't play it as i used to... got quite boring once i got to 55 10th prestige and all, but i enjoy playing with a few people i know from here =]

I get annoying because i only want to do Privates, because, seriously - i have nothing to aim for in ranked games. Very rarely i go on on my own accord and play ranked matches.

Anways, sorry to hear it again as you would be a good member to have as part of our (hopeful) team. And hopefully COD5 is good so we can all get together on that, although something inside me says it won't be very good.

I am stopping playing shooters for now, going to try and find some good RPG's to get my teeth sunk into, as i said before - i don't like Call of Duty 4 on my own...

Oh, and don't get me wrong, i am still up for making the team so long as there is enough interest, after all - it is already set-up ; ]

Oh, and would get BF: Bad Company to play with you etc. and have a few Get-Togethers but i find it a bit slow XD... I could see myself getting into it though for some reason - as it is incredibly realistic.

right, just got round to reading this thread!

The ide is great, having a consolemonster team represent the site in GB. But one that, atm, i dont think would work.

We dont have enough regular cod 4 players atm :( but when we do, we'll be ready.

Im always up for playing games. Hence why i try to get tourny's organised aswell.

People just need to spread the word for ConsoleMonster. The more people who join, the more people who will stick around!

Defo need to get some more regular get-togethers though!!!!

We should maybe have something scheduled every Sunday. aka, Sunday Monster Game Night! In which we can alternate between games per week etc
