Howdoo Marty

Welcome to the forums, most people are decent here, with a fair proportion of them being 360 players. More and more PS3 / Wii owners are starting to chime in as well so whatever platform you own, you will see posts covering all the platforms with a few light hearted flame wars thrown in ;)

Enjoy ;)

Cool - the forum hooks into the gamertag - very nice.

Thanks bingo - when it comes to consoles I have pretty much everything going, right back to the 8 bit days - I even have an Atari Jaguar :D

Of the current gen I really am liking the Xbox360 a lot, but I'm hoping that the PS3 will produce a few more titles this year ( Disgaea 3 on the way \o/ ) - though I'm not on my first console as that RROD :/

Despite that I do think the 360 is a great console, and, as a big RPG fan, there are some storming games headed this way in that genre.

What I'm a fan of though, is decent games - I really don't care about platform as long as it rocks my socks :)

I have a huge collection of consoles and games, currently my platform of choice is the 360 as the online aspect is a huge draw for me. I got a PS3 a few months back but it has seen less than 24 hours total playtime so far. Multiplatform games generally look and play better on the 360 and with the addition of an easy to use and well integrated online setup its no surprise that most gamers I know choose the 360 over the PS3.

I have tried to like the PS3 and have bought 8 titles so far, but I think I spent most of my time playing SuperStardust HD than any of the full price titles.

My fav console out of all the ones I have owned was the Dreamcast, shame that Sega gave up on it just when it was starting to find its legs.

I think for the online aspect - the 360 is a no brainer - it really is heads above the rest in that aspect. The achievements have also been a big draw for me, and the high-score tables - like an arcade at home.

I've got a similar number of PS3 titles ( I'd hazard a guess they probably going to be the same ones ). Virtua Fighter, Resistance, Uncharted, Sing Star, Motorstorm ...

I'm a big Dreamcast fan too - it was the console that got me into the import scene - Soul Calibur for the win :) - Sega really did miss their chance promoting that title. It's great to see that it's making a return on XBLA though.

Oh - and Samba Di Amigo - I've yet to experience a more satisfying rhythm game - got to love those maracas. I'm wondering if the announced Wii version can possibly hope to achieve the same level of gaming goodness.

Samba Di Amigo is being ported to the Wii so you can shake your thing there.

Yeah I have the main suspects on the PS3, but they just dont hold my attention for any length of time compared to similar titles on the 360.

I have a launch day japanese dreamcast (orange box one with the Sega President on it), I am regretting having it modded as they are worth megabucks now.

Soul Calibre is prob my fav of the lot on the dreamcast, if you get the chance hook it up to a monitor, it still puts many current titles to shame visual wise.

I would like to see the original Crazy Taxi getting an outing on XBLA.

Thanks for the welcome - I think I might do just that - there certainly seems to be some avid gaming fans here on the forum and a number of threads have sparked an interest - infact so much so I hope it doesn't look like I'm spamming the place :)
