Well my 360 should get here tomorrow!

and the first game I'm getting is Eternal Sonata, as I've had my eye on it for awhile, then i'll be getting a hard drive, because I've heard the 360 memory cards can save about 2 games and thats it. -_-

so on my list of games I want are:

Dead Rising
Blue Dragon
Orange Box

any order in which i should get this? or like whatever.

also what are your thoughts on:

Perfect Dark Zero, Oblivion, Naruto:Rise Of A Ninja(I hate the english version, so i'm kinda put of by the cut down naruto game)
and Lost Oddesy.

Not to fussed on Halo 3, as a friend is lending me that, and GTA4 I can wait till it's cheap pre-owned.

Oblivion is great and pretty cheap if you can find it second hand. Dead Rising I didn't find that brilliant and Perfect Dark Zero is a bit of a dissappointment now with the dwindling online community for it.

lost odyssey is awesome. will set you back around 60-70 hours of gameplay so its good value for money as well. but the same can be said for oblivion wich is probably a lot cheaper in the budget bins at this time.

1 offline and 1 on sounds like a good plan. I have far to many games just sitting there. But dont want to trade in just incase :p

I recommend COD 4 for online ( if you like fps games) and race driver: grid for offline.

If COD4 was your introduction to FPS then your in for a treat. However, it will be a long time till you see anything reach the quality of that game.

Add Bioshock to the list, thats a great game and you can pick it up cheap now as well.

Thanks everyone.

I guess I should go into more detail about the genre's that I like.

As far as FPS-ing goes, I don't really like war based ones, such as call of duty 2(I played that one.) I think the last FPS i enjoyed was Geist on the gamecube, just because it had a unique twist, before that was Perfeck Dark on the N64, I'm a bit picky on FPS.

Racing - I'm not really a racing fan unless it's Mario kart(Wii version sucks btw) or F - Zero.

RPGs - I'm a big fan of Jrpgs, I've never really taken to non Japanese based RPGs...I dunno why...i think it's because most of the one's i played are to similar to KOTOR which I didn't enjoy that much.

Raisedbyflames, could you give me some info on the games you've listed?

oh, I looked into Kameo, because someone recommended it(In my welcome topic) sad to say it doesn't really look that good, so I'll think i'll pass.

Try Dark Sector then, although the online sucks the single player is great.

If you like rpg's there are a few to choose from like Oblivion (good), Mass Effect (good), Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon (demo on marketplace), Enchanted Arms (I didn't mind it but a lot of people dislike it), Two Worlds (Oblivion clone but nowhere near as good), Kingdom Under Fire Circle Of Doom (demo on marketplace and I thought it was rubbish), Final Fantasy XI Online (good slightly outdated but it takes up too much of your time & it isn't free to play online), Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Phantasy Star Universe (costs to play online but the game itself is pretty cheap). Those are all from off the top of my head but I'm sure there are many more as well.

There's also the upcoming Fable 2 on the horizon which looks promising as well.

My last post was a bit messed, when i meant RPGs i meant I only really like Jrpgs mostly, if it's not Japanese I've never really taken to it for some reason.

Like Mass effect is more of an action rpg like KOTOR which i didn't find all that great.

anyway, I got my 360 today when i got back home, Went and set it up, went to do some food shopping, and got Eternal Sonata and Oblivion on the way home, Played Eternal Sonata for about 30 mins, because:

1) A friend came down to use our phone
2) I had to walk the dog

then when we got back, my girlfriend got to the living room first and has started playing Final fantasy:My Life As A king(wii)..GOD I JUST WANNA PLAY : / stupid responsibility's

Thanks for all the help guys!

Eternal Sonata is a good buy, I picked it up for a tenner after keeping an eye on it since release. Blue dragon is also great, I put 100+ hours into that game.

If you don't like KOTOR you won't like Mass Effect, same devs, basically same game...with a new universe rather than Star Wars.

You should definitely invest in BioShock, it's quite unique amongst the other FPS's due to the setting, weapons/plasmids and baddies...a very good game. Perfect Dark was average at release but playing it now it's horrible...it ruins the PD name as the N64 game was awesome.

I'd highly recommend Dead Rising, definitely in my top few 360 games, it has it's haters but I loved every minute of it...comedy violence at it's best!

No worries, just remember there's a demo for nearly every game on the marketplace so you can try before you buy on most games.
