making new friends....

just got my 360 machine yesterday, so forgive this for being a dumbassed question but.... how does one make friends to play online and what is online gameplay like?

Hello there, Don't worry about asking dumbass questions since we all had to learn at some point.

Friends are made by...

1) Playing a game, head to the 360 dash and select friends and push right. This will list players that you have recently played with and will include what game, their gamerscore and how long ago you played against them. Find the person from the list and select their profile by pressing "A" and send a Friend Request. Once they get the request and say yes, they then appear on your friends list.

or

2) Adding a gamertag to your list that one of your real life friends has. This is dony by heading to the 360 dash and selecting Friends again and at the top you will see Add Friend. Press "A" and enter the gamertag for your friend and then select done and press "A" Live will search for the person and then prompt you to send a Friend Request. Once they agree, the name is then added to your list.

Gameplay depends on what games you have/intend to buy/enjoy playing.

360 has and will have some great games coming soon and they will all add a slightly different gameplay style. Perfect Dark Zero is a great online game and can be crazy and also very tactical when playing some of the other game types. Project Gotham 3 is a great laugh with friends and can turn into some very tight races when you get good. Overall the gameplay is effected by the people you play against. Some games can be annoying if you play against random people but once your friends list grows, you start to have the best games with friends.

Make friends on these boards and then you won't have any problems if making friends on Live :)

Spot on raide. Here is a great place to make friends for online play you can also join one of the groups on here, depends what games you have to play. Keep looking on the forum also as there is often people organising gaming matches :) Hope this helps..

Hi wizzard zong here is how. At the top there is a green bar to the right hand side it says Quick Links click on that, then click on edit profile then down near the bottom on the left hand side it says Group Membership hope it helps and look forward to some gaming online :) :) :)

its so people can know who has which game. for example we are having a PDZ match this sunday and Afrojoe who is setting it up can look to see who is in the group and PM them with the information to see if they can make the match.
