I just bought my new Xbox 360 for my games room. I’ve got this old, beaten up TV and I feel I can liven up things a bit more with an LCD TV? So I’ve decided to buy one. Could anyone suggest which popular brand to choose from Samsung or Sony and where to find the cheapest deals?

Try checking play.com for the Samsung 37" It's about the same price as I payed for my 32 inch about 6 months ago, £500 quid or so :D

When shopping for a new LCD your best bet is a company that produces its own screens. I know for a fact that samsung does just this, as i've got a 700 Euro 38" samsung HD-ready tv in my living room :)

I got a 32inch HDTV for my `Games Room' last week. I got it from eBuyer (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131916?hp_prod=1) and have been very impressed. Its their own make but has a Samsung panel and LG freeview tuner. For £260 its an absolute steal.
I have both the 360 and PS3 connected via HDMI and both look stunning with no blur at all on fast moving scenes that you tend to get on budget screens.
The quality is that good that 3 of my friends have ordered them now as well.

After visiting and researching review sites like Cnet, DeepPreview and other blogs. I got some great insight on Sony LCD TVs. I found one which took my breath away, the Sony Bravia KDL32D3000 LCD TV. It’s everything you need and more! Xbox games look amazing on it. It’s got excellent clarity, sounds great, and plenty more. I recently bought one from the website checkcost.co.uk

Cheaper HERE (http://www.rgbdirect.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?SKUNumber=105272&ReferrerCode=3) than the link above.
Your best bet is to find a TV that you want, find the model number then go onto a dedicated Audio Visual Forum like AVForums to see what the members think. Then when your happy that you know what you want post again and I will try and track it down cheap for you.
