Hey guys...

Im buggered, recently started eBaying, and ive put up and sold successfully one lot of items, but now ive put up 2 games, together, and its going to sell for 99p :(

I can't cancel the auction as its in its last 3-4 hours :(

And this dude wont bid any higher, and i cant raise the price, and i can only cancel or attempt to cancel if i call the highest bidder, and say that the product is broken.

Yet even if i do succeed at that another person will bid on it!

Help me :(
Thanks

If you're looking to get a "maximum bid of..." then I'd recommend a reserve though this way it is unlikely to sell (and I believe the minimum reserve is £50?) though it's too late now.

There are other ways of getting the bid up but it is risky (such as getting a friend to boost your bid but if they win there's going to be some confusion).

Plus, as you have no feedback as of yet, people aren't likely to take risks. If I was you, I would have bought some items first and got a good feedback rating before selling.

Welcome to the world of eBay. I have sold a few things but now I mainly sell on HUKD and AVForums. That way I can avoid any fees and the adverts are free. There is usually a bit of haggling but 90% of the time I get the amount I was asking for.

I put a bid on it for you, see if we can get the price up for you.

Never put anything on eBay for a price you're not prepared to sell it for. I start most of my auctions at 99p, and when you do so you take the risk that it *might* just go for that. Before listing, do a search to see what similar items are going for this will give you an idea of what people are looking for and then be very careful to check for typo's in your listings as if it's spelt incorrectly then it won't pop up in people's searches. There are sites dedicated to looking for such typo listings on eBay as you tend to be able to get real bargains that way.
And finally have faith, most bidding by serious eBay users is done in the last 30 minutes. I have auctions triple their sale price in the last few minutes, so worry not, you might be ok.

No probs, you want the money or just for me to mark it as paid and then you pay the ebay fee's and keep the games until you can get a good price for them?

Either way is fine with me.
