Help!

Although myself, and a few of my mates have xbox live, occasionally it is a good laugh to meet up around someones house with a few xboxs, TV's, and of course a few beers, etc!

The problem is.. with the first xbox, and it seems the 360, you could simply plug in a few ethernet cables into a router, and set up a game in the game itself without any other configuration! However.. COD4 is the game we want to have a sesh playing but can't set up the system link! Is it fact that when using system link play only one person per xbox (i.e. not split screen).

Any suggestions how we can get round this would be much appreciated!

Oh yeah, and all xbox 360's have hard drives, and we can get hold of routers, cross over (if needed) or cat5e cables..

We have tried it with the most basic set up to try and get it working,

2 x 360 premium with COD4 in each plugged into a router using a cat5e cable. you can create a game, but the other console can't see the created game to join it...

I have tried google, but unfortunately most of the results are to do with people playing COD4, people selling COD4, or PC/PS3 set up and not for the 360... so I thought I'd try the experts here...

Can the two consoles see each other with a different game, like Halo?

erm, if youve got a router etc just connect them through live then set up a private match (Y) ;)

I had this problem round my m8s house, we created a game, we found it but we recieved connection failed when we tried to join it. I'm a networking geek :geek: it should all be working but I think there seems to be a bug in this COD4.

Thank you for all of your answers..

Truplaya - Good call - I'll need to try a different game
DvxUK - We tried that but it still meant you couldn't have multiple people on one xbox/screen
dALi07 - If you do use your network geek skills to find a solution, please let me know!

In the meantime I think we'll stick to playing online in the comfort of our own homes! ;-)
