I know whats wrong ... go to the marketplace...go to games>game add-ons>all game add ons...and then look for something called optional media update that should do the trick.

Dont worry I know what u need to do. Go onto ur PC into control panel. then go to network connections. right click your internet connection and click properties. Go to the last tab and tick a box saying "allow other users to connect through this connection". (This allows ur xbox to connect to xbox live using ur PC) then go back to ur xbox. Go to system blade, then Network settings, put IP Address at 192.168.0.x or 192.168.1.x (X=any number as long as another network device doesnt have it) DNS server is same as ur PC or router, Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0 and Gateway is same as PC/Router. Click done or watever, then test MEDIA. All should be confirmed if not repeat process again. If all confirmed go to back to ur PC then go to Windows Media Player and find something called media sharing and enable it. Go back to ur xbox then go to media blade then videos then it should find ur PC.

To make an xbox live account after this (which is what you need for the update) sign in, then click ur gamertag then click join xbox live. then follow on-screen instructions. When you have set it all up then try playing ur media it should automatically update.

I would suggest taking a look at getting a cheap router (linksys are good). That way you'll be able to use your 360 and PC on the internet at the same time.

If you don't want to spend any extra money, share the internet connection with ur PC. The disadvantages are The PC has to be on to go onto xbox live and ur NAT will be strict (this stops you from interacting with other gamers with strict or moderate NAT) :geek:

Linksys routers don't work with all computers? Routers are routers... you can use anything from a networked fridge to a supercomputer with them. :|
