basically, when he was a little boy (afro / samuel l jackson) he watched his father (had the number one head band, was number one warror in the world) take on Justice (number two) Justice defeats his father right infront of little afro chopping his head off.

Afro is now older and wears the number 2 headband, he's after revenge and wont stop till he defeats number one, Justice.

Gameplay looks mediocre, Graphics are quite nice, Premise is... shallow at best.
I'm guessing this is just a level based action/adventure game? Doesn't really have anything special or innovative to make me want it enough, don't get me wrong the graphics do look good.. but I think the Prince of Persia team have already surpassed this.

I watched the first episode of Afro Samurai a while ago now, although the style of the anime was interesting, the story had little substance for me to want to carry on watching. I think the same could be said with the game, especially when you add crappy gameplay to the mix. If I wanted to play a ninja game, like most people I'd buy Ninja Gaiden II (although it's not perfect, I think it'd be a little more entertaining than this). But hey I'm sure this game could entertain some Afro Fanboys atleast

I read a review on Afro samurai and it was given 6/10 but i really like the look of the game and its really my sorta game, i'm having second thoughts on getting it, anyone help me wether or not to get it??? Tah for anyone who can provide info or help. (Y)

As a fan of the anime and the sequel (afro samurai resurrection) im getting the game, no matter what the reviews are. yeah the reviews aint the greatest 6-7/10 but so F
. Its afro! its samuel l jackson! You can chop people toes and fingers off.
Its not just a button bash slasher either theres plenty of combos to pull off.

Yeah I have it...its a good hack and slash...but I guess you have to be a true fan to love it...will have to watch the films. Sam LJ is funny though

After a year in the waiting, i was abit. mehhhh about this game and traded it at the shop while it still had some vaule left (£20 trade, bloody rip off)

The general gameplay is good, but it was the same ole same ole, tap X & Y. Fingers would hurt after a while after the button bashing.

Could have made it 2 player co-op with the other person using Ninja Ninja (even though he doesnt fight in the anime)...
