Condemned 2 - Anyone played it?

I've rented Comdemned 2: Bloodshot for a week from Blockbuster (all game rentals are a week now instead of 2 nights) and i'm not impressed.

Everything I liked about the first game was present in the first few levels but then it just went weird. I was shooting oil beasts while in a hallucenation (wrong spelling proberly) and then found an assault rifle. All i want to do it beat people round the head with a 2x4 with nails in the end, is that too much to ask?

I liked the improved investiation side of things but this game is not as good as the first one yet, so im glad i didnt go out and buy it.

Anyone else played this and might be able to convince me to play on because at the moment i'm thinking of taking it back early.

You won't be the only one who dislikes it. The story in the first one was weird but the second one's just plain bizarre apparently. My mate has had this since it's release and he's trading it in this week sometime as it wasn't as good as the first one he said as well.

I've played a demo of it on the PS3 and to be honest I didn't like it either. The combat seems harder than before and a couple of whacks with something and it's goodnight Irene!

it is pretty hard. Im doing it on normal and i have died many times. Im in a museum bit now and it is a bit better but not that good. I'll see if i can be bothered to complete it before saturday.

At the moment its a 5/10 game but i havent tried multiplayer yet

ive finished it today started it yester day i reckon its took me about 7 8 hours to do on normal and its hard on normal. theirs one bit half way through were you get chased by a bear thats the highlight of the game for me

dont get me wrong ti isnt as good as the first one and wasn't rosa a 50 odd year old white woman in the first game were as shes a 30 something black lass now.

and the story is all over the place apparently tis some sort of cult blah blah blah what happened with that demon fromt he first one doing it

anyways its alright gameplay wise and theirs some great levels but the story is ---- so its a 7/10

now i diddnt get many achievements they don't look too hard but i carnt be arsed with them its shelved next up viiking

I played the demo that was enough for me to see that it wasnt half as good as the 1st one. What the fook where they little black things that jump out at you? They looked like wee angry ----es.

I think the general consensus is that the 1st one was better than the 2nd.

yeah, i'd buy the first one if i had the choice. I rented both.
