Typical Hollywood they always have to have a happy ending in the can incase test screenings hate the original.

They are both terrible and piss on the original ending from Matheson. This is the second classic novel that Will Smith defecates on, first was I, Robot by the legend Isaac Asimov and now Richard Matheson's I am Legend.
The book had one of the most thought provoking endings that I have ever read. Instead we this Hollywood big budget pseudo-existential crap about how his self-sacrifice has made him into a legend. NO! It's supposed to be about how he becomes a legend in the way that Vampires and Were-wolfs are legends for humans, he is a legend, a dark, mythical terrorizing figure who kills the "infected" .
Which brings me to another point, why isn't anyone on here talking about No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood, the two best films of the year? There is this whole debate about how American moviegoers have terrible taste, but now it seems to be a world-wide epidemic in which people ignore the brilliant films and instead flock to the big budget no brain junk such as I am Legend, Transformers and the like.
This isn't necessarily targeted at you guys, but I'm just tired of the fact that more people are talking about going to see Jumper, 1oK B.C, Semi-Pro, and other garbage that pass off as films these days.

Killer57, Nobody gives, better stolen but good, then homemade and terrible. I like this ending better for the one and only reason that with this ending they could make a part 2, wich seems impossible with the movie theater ending...

It sounds like its targetted at us lolz. If you wish to know why noone is talking about them films it is probably for various silly reasons, and if you are so keen, feel free to make your own thread :)

I'm with you on this, Killer - I used to only see movies that "looked cool" like Jumper and 10,000BC, but lately I've been getting more into deeper movies and I think more people should, because they're a lot better than movies that only have some good special effects going for them. Just saw No Country for Old Men last week and thought it was great (not necessarily as amazing as everyone's said, but very good, and Javier Bardem was far too convincing as a crazy killer) and I'm watching Michael Clayton right now. Haven't seen There Will Be Blood yet, though.
My dad wants to see 10,000BC just because "the saber tooth cats look cool", which I think is a bit sad since everyone's been saying it's incredibly boring. Don't get me wrong, it's fun to just leave your brain at the door and watch pointless movies sometimes, but not at every single trip to the cinema.
