I would absolutely love that, due to my ever-increasing dislike of Sony, as you're probably all aware of now. :D
Obviously I don't think this will be the case, and I still think the PS3 will "win" this upcoming battle, but I'd really love it if they didn't.

I think, at the very least, it won't be the shutout that PS2 was.
Yeah, these are nerve-wracking times, Sony releasing more and more details, having fanboys and even journalists clambering for more. Xbox-Live killer, this that and the other. But, as has been stated time and time again. Two words:
Emotion Engine.

dya not think by thetime it comes out that everyone will have experienced all the next-gen goodness thru 360 i mean games like fight nigh round 3 will be really old when they come out for ps3. Has MS's early launch really worked?

I believe it will work in the long run, because when the PS3 is released Microsoft can easily introduce a price cut to help them shift even more units. Either that or release Halo 3 at the same time, which will surely take a lot of gloss off the PS3's launch.
I think it will work in the long run, and while it will probably cost Microsoft more money if they introduce a price drop, it'll help them gain some market share at the expense of Sony, which I think right now is what they should be aiming for.

Not to mention the Xbox 360 would already be releasing its second generation of games, while sony will be struggling keeping up with demand, defectuve units and rushed games.

I don't think I understand what you're saying here. Your first point seems like you're saying the early launch was a brilliant idea. Are you?

He's saying whats the point buying PS3 if you already have a next generation system: Xbxo 360.

Oh, okay. The "Has MS's early launch really worked?" threw me off, I guess.
In that case, there isn't much point. But in reality, barely anyone has a 360. It will get better by PS3 launch, of course, but it's the late adopters that matter. What's more, very few people are planning on 360+PS3 ownership, but a lot more are planning on PS3+Revolution or 360+Revolution.

NO sorry it wasnt me who posted it it was KILLR57 and I took some credit.Sorry:'(
You know why they are changing the controller though. It's because of all the negative feedback. If they didn't show the controller or if they didn't have any neg feedback they would of kept it.
Just goes to show that they have rubbish designers who don't understand praticality.

yeah...yeah....i dint say i dont like it...but you gotta admit it it was big, really big......it was good for smashing it on the floor after HALO1 LAN matches......Oh and yeah me and my friend tried to smash the center plastic sircle of the dook controller ( because it was already broken ) and it was impossible.....we even tried a hammer...nothing.... :) all we left was deep scratches ( though the plastic is like 1 inch thick ) and maybe because it was not flat but round which makes big difference) http://www.xbox4fun.com/images/mim-controller-01.gif

Thing is i bought an Xbox right after it came out. So, it didnt come with the "S" but with the dook. I had to stick around with that monster controller for a while till it eventually broke.

Thats not much of an excuse for me though. You can get some pretty neat thrid-party controllers. Mad catz in particular had really really small ones.
