I guess many of you already read about this rumor on the news, but I'll post the link as well:
WoW on Xbox360 (www.360monster.com/newspost.php?id=0000000372)
Ok, I'd just like to hear your opinions about this.
For those who are not familiar with the PC world, World of Warcraft is a MMORPG which has 4/5 million players worldwide - it's probably the most successful online game EVER (including, yes, Halo 2, which counted perhaps 1 million) and one of the videogaming milestones.
Now, if Microsoft was really successful in convincing Blizzard to port WoW, this could be THE game that makes Xbox360 fortune against the PS3.
What do you think?

That's the rumor.
I really hope a ton of these rumors get sorted out at E3. ( Most of them coming true, of course ( I hope).

I hope not, just for the sake of my social life. :D

World of warcraft is a great game. Played it to death on pc last year, until I had to start saving for my 360! ;) I hope this rumour is true, but at the moment, any new game will do. Roll on March! (Y)

Mister Hipsta, now that's a real question.
To play WoW on the PC you have to pay a monthly 14.99$ fee (!!!), or a six-months 12.99$ fee (!!! as well). An annual fee would be roughly 156$.
Now, IMO they (Microsoft & Blizzard) have 3 possibilities:
1) They charge you a normal extra-fee (like 59/79$ per year) apart from the normal Live Gold fee (59.99$).
2) They charge you a "light" extra-fee (like 19.99$ per year), which would probably be the most intelligent thing to do;
3) They don't charge you any extra-fee, and they regard it as an investment.
Just think about it: playing World of Warcraft for free. I bet everyone who hasn't played WoW before (because they could not afford it or because they thought it was not worth it) would dash into a store to buy a X360 and/or a Live subscription.
Result: Xbox Live, 2 months after the release of the game, counts like 4/5 million users more than now - everyone of them paying the annual fee, which is A LOT of money for Microsoft.
Anyway, I think the 2nd possibility is the most probable.
I'm not convinced WoW can port well to be used on the 360 without messing up the controls. SWG was clearly dumbed down over the last few months so that it could be easily ported to be played on consoles (most likely 360) and the players have found it made the game 100 times worse.

As far as the fees to play... we can look at phantasy start online for the xbox, there is a $9.99 dollars monthly fee to play that game and final fantasy XI will also carry a monthly fee which will be $12.99 dollars ... charged to your credit card on top of the yearly subscription to xbox live gold.
I dont see why blizzard ( note how i dont say microsoft since the extra charges are not brought to us by microsoft but by the developers of the game ) would not charge the same fee they currently charge for the pc version.
I have played WoW and quit because of 360 and for as much as i would love to see this game come out on the 360 i really dont think it will though.

Its sounding interesting enough to tempt me. But I am not to fond of paying for LIVE features. Same with FF:(

12.99$ a month to play FFXI ?!
I guess I'll never play a MMORPG... is it possible to charge twice the price for the whole Xbox Live subscription just to play ONE game? Damn, you already have to pay the Gold fee, the Internet fee, the game itself... I got a rent to pay, dammit! :@
Ok, sorry if I gave vent to my anger.
Guess I'll wait for another decent FPS and play for free. :(

Well. Paying that much for playing a dated MMO on the 360, with wrestling a controller, and maybe a finicky keyboard and mouse at best.. No, that's not worth the money. The monthly fee for WoW or CoH on a PC probably is, however. It's really not a large enough price to get into a tizzy over. You have GMs, events, content updates, etc. etc., which, until the 360's Live, would've been impossible, let alone unheard of. It's really the equivalent of a movie+popcorn for one person, per month.

Hey... said like that, it doesn't sound so scary! :D
Thanks Blaze Lord, you saved my life. ;)

As far as subscribers go, WoW hasn't even come close to reaching Lineage.
I'm going to test this game tonight, really have to test this!
