Gaizka Mendieta's volley from 25 yards against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

Came to him directly from a corner - SMASH! Amazing.

Chilavert also scored a free kick from his own half (anyone who can find this clip will be my hero).

And who can forget a certain Diego Maradona versus England? ;)

That was absolutely superb but I cant find one on GOOGY but it was GEORGE WEAH from AC MILAN who while defendin a corner got the ball and skinned almost every player on the park befor slotting it home in the corner. Anyone got that or seen that:)

I remember that from when it happened, yeah. Goal of the Season in 1998, when Channel 4 used to show Gazetta Football Italia. :DI used to watch that every Sat morning when I was really young. It was great to start my interest in the foriegn game. As for goals http://media.putfile.com/Zurawski-BOMB

i remember that on and another he scored with the back of his, he turned in the air an scored touching the ball with the back of his head, after i've tryed lots of times i got it bakc it's hard we to jump while running because you don't get to beat the ball so hard!

Sunday 24th October 1993, Matthew Le Tissier, Southampton vs. Newcastle United.

Ball comes back to him about 30 yards out in line with corner of the area. It goes slightly behind him so he flicks his heel up to knock it ahead of him, before it touches the ground he flicks again over the first incoming challenge. The ball bounces once 25 yards out and as it comes up again Le Tiss flicks it over the head of the next defender and runs around to stroke the ball in from 12 yards just as it lands.

Absolutely wonderful goal.

But i dont think any goal will ever beat the 89th minute swivel and bang into the top corner, in the last league game at the dell to win it. As if it was scripted. Infront of the Milton end too. Not a dry eye in the Dell.

I'm sure Del Piero has missed a few. How many has Mendieta taken? Le Tiss scored 49/50.

Del Piero scored a stunner at Celtic Park.Free Kick absolutely placed in the top corner.Celtic still won 4-3 though :p

I actually don't know how many Mendieta has taken.

At World Cup 2002, though, one of the commentators said "this man has never missed a penalty as a professional footballer" before his penalty against Ireland.

And he missed one two seasons ago, I remember. :D

I remember when Mendieta was looking like he was going to be the next best thing...ast 1 point he looked incredible and unstoppable...like the Ronaldinho of today...now look at him. :(

Ronaldo's was so powerful, but I'm sure it was saveable. If it was someone like Given, Cech or Van Der Sar in goals it wouldn't have gone in.

Barton's was a peach as well.

Nothing beats Del Piero's magnificent free kick against Inter, though. Amazing.

Took me a while to think of what to say, but I got there eventually!

A favourite goal of mine would have to be Almeida's free-kick of FC Porto against Inter Milan, where he absolutely hammered it from 35 - 40yrds, top corner.
