Duff Man is amazing.

Wiggum, Nelson, Hibbert and Jasper are also good as well.

Jasper: "Hey, they're playing that elephant song again. Reminds me of elephants."

Best Simpsons quote ever. :D

So hard to choose because although not every person shows up in every episode, they all play an important role.

I guess I'll choose Moe or Homer though.

Mine has to be Bart. Yes Willie, Apu, and Chief Wiggum were close seconds but Bart is just my favorite for some reason. Some of his one liners are really catchy and give a nice laugh. If it comes down to the funniest carachter how can you not say Homer? He is a laughing riot. I can't get enough of Homer. It is so great when he is getting hurt by either robot droids, spiders, falling garage doors, falling down mountains, and his screams are priceless. Plus his carachter of being a big dumb stupid oaf with a good heart is great and make the Simposon what is.

I honestly would prefer Family Guy over both. Peter and his big fat son are so funny. Its more of a laugh a minute then the Simpsons is which is more of a family-oriented humor (not for young kids though, odd if you think about it really hard). Even though it has lost its charm and is not in its prime the Simpson still is a good show and I will watch over most program when it is on.

It has to be Homer for me. I mean his dumb thinking and dumb acting is just pure class. I love the way he has been created and I think he is probably my most favourite character of all time, sure to always make me laugh.

And Simpsons > Futurama Thornbag.

Eh. These last couple seasons of the Simpsons < Futurama. And that's saying a lot, because I'm not really a Futurama fan. "But this season..." to quote Marge.

Im sarting to like Family Guy a lot more and more. Its more funny and more idiotic than The Simpsons.

JJBDude
22/Feb/06, 08:57 AM
I do agree with you Blaze Lord, the new episodes that I have seen over the past few months really are low quality, the Simpson humour just isn't there in these new episodes.

And I am also getting more into Family Guy sharplayer, I am very much enjoying watching a episode of American Dad! and Family Guy on a sunday night. :)

Blaze Lord

It isn't, and the problem is that the characters have been diluted.

Family Guy may still be random, but rarely could a line said by one of the main characters be instead said by another character, and still make sense.

In almost every later episode of the Simpsons, this fact isn't true. A lot of jokes are one-liner tossaways that could be spouted by anyone. Marge and Lisa have stepped too far outside their role as foils, and Bart and Homer have similarly expanded too far out of their 'jobs'.

Steve
22/Feb/06, 03:56 PM
I personally still love the Simpson. Yes it has lost most of it's famed charm, but it is still a funny show. I beleive when the Simpson was in its prime it was the funniest show ever (the 1994-2000 era). We have seen Homer getting a lot less stupid, which is pretty odd becasue I figured over time he would get a whole lot dumber. And you are right, they are sticking all the carachters into being "the funny guy". Marge and Lisa aren't suppose to be funny. They are suppose to be the set up carachters for Homer and Bart yet they are trying to be histerical and they come off bad at points.

At least Homer and Bart can still give us some laughs and don't forget all the 2nd and 3rd stringed carachters like Chief Wiggum, Moe, Willy, Apu and all the people of Springfield.

T3h next step of lowness for the Simpson's could only possibly spell a FILM!!! :D

Steve
22/Feb/06, 08:07 PM
Bleh, If a Simpsons movie came out that would be so bad. I would expect it to get alot of money in the box office but I doubt it would be any good. Plus it is way to old to do a movie towards the end of its exisistance. I hope the end of the Simpsons isn't approaching, because I have grown to love that show alot over the years, but it is loosing most of the buzz that made it get to the top of adult Animation. I think Family Guy would be on top at this time if it weren't for its cancellation for 3 years. That hurt the show.

Speaking of American Dad. Dont you think that show is just as funny as The Family Guy. I remember seeing it on FOX for the first time. Man it was funny.
" Osama is that you?" :)

Season 8 was the start of the Simpsons decline. Watch season 7, then 8 back to back, and you'll see what I mean. American Dad is.. not quite as funny as Family Guy. That fish is pretty annoying.

I still watch the Simpsons, but that's because they still go through a lot of the old stuff.

I never watch new episodes on Sunday, because they're usually not very good.

Still better than Futurama and Family Guy, though. Well, the episodes created when it was at its peak are, anyway.

American Dad - now thats a programme! Love it, and since I have only watched Family Guy once or twice, I prefer American Dad. :)

Just cant get into it. I think the SIMPSONS rules though due to the fact it has been out for ages and the sheer volume of episodes:)

Steve
23/Feb/06, 06:53 PM
I don't like American Dad to much. It is very similar to Drawn Together but nothing is stupid as that show. All the rawness of South Park but none of the humor. Simpsons, Family Guy and South Park are all in my viewing rotation (along with real shows).

Homer for me. He reminds me of one of my mates big and stupid. I don't really watch it that much anymore though.

South Park is just plain dumb. I get few laughs at a time but thats sometimes. American Dad and Family Guy are simply hilarious. Though i still miss Beavis and Butt-Head. Plain Idiotic and stupid. I still dont get it why i laugh when i hear them both. Oh and The King of the Hill show....well....it's just not funny. Complete opposite of Family Guy. http://wuzzadem.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/king.gif

Steve
25/Feb/06, 04:57 AM
Yeah I see a couple of King of the Hills here and there but from what I have seen I can say the show is A quality. By A quality I mean A quality crap. I dont know what it is but the carachters that are suppose to be like Homer (the guy on the way left) and Moe (the second to right end) aren't funny and just suck. Plus the design of it all looks bad and gets on my nerves.

Blaze Lord
25/Feb/06, 05:05 AM
Odd that you love Beavis and Butt-Head and not King of the Hill. Well. More interesting than odd.

It's a decent show. And South Park's actually pretty brilliant. But there are reasons why it does better than the Simpsons lately. (CG graphics and all.)

Steve
25/Feb/06, 05:14 AM
Some of the graphics on South Park is hilarious. It really has gone a long way from its first episode to its last. The best part of it is, no matter how great the show or graphics look it is still funny as hell and the humor of the show continues to go with the shows exsistance. I am starting to think that South Park is the best animated show on Television. The season get funnier and funnier and the recent "Locked in the Closet" episode was absolutley histerical and is my favorite animated episode of all time.
