Hi everyone. I'm a newbie to this site and obviously the forum. I visit lots of gaming sites so I don't know how I missed this one :brow: My name is April (nice to meet you) I worked for SCEA for 7 years so I get a little defensive at times about the Sony platform but I'm a gamer all around and enjoy playing on my Xbox 360. In fact, perhaps I use my 360 too much since I'm like on my 3rd one >.> Again thank you for a great site and I'm looking forward to not only being a part of the console monster community but reading what all of its members have to say.

Yes I'm a UFC fan, can't wait to see Bisping this weekend go up against Rashad Evans! Do we have a UFC thread? Anyway, the TV in the photo is my Sony 60 inch DLP. I have my PS3 (HDMI of course) and one of my 360's on that one. Then I have a Sony Bravia 32" for my other 360 when I want to watch TV and game at the same time. Yes it's true I have 2 large TV's in the same room. Most visitors are like why are there 2 TV's? (obviously not gamers duh! :geek: )

What I can't believe is that the winner will have a title shot. Rampage will destroy both of these, though out of the two, I'd like to see Bisping win so we can have a big nation vs nation thing which could make UFC a popular sport over here (in the UK).

What do you think of Liddell and Wanderlai in 79? I think if Liddell loses (which I think is highly possible) then we may see him retire.

Oh yeah, 79's also the Hughes vs Serra match, I can't wait for that, I want to see Serra retire that arrogant -------.

First off I don't think the winner gets a title shot. It's an important fight however, it will put them in a contender spot in the top 5 and that in itself is a huge deal. I'm looking forward to the main event but actually I really like Karo Parisyan and Houston Alexander. I really want to see Alexander do what he did in his last two fights, it was amazing. I like Spencer Fisher too, not sure how it will turn out. I've always been a Bisping fan so I hope he wins but it's hard because Rashad is such a good fighter and I like watching him fight too. I'll be happy either way but a little more happy if The Count wins. As for 79... well I was very upset when Serra won against St. Pierre, I think he is a great coach but I don't consider him one of top fighters in the world so I hope he bites it lol. As for Liddel, I love Chuck's style when he smells the win he goes for it, usually. Lately idk what's goin on, will be an interesting fight though. Been a while for Wanderlei in the UFC and he lost I think to Dan Henderson in Pride more recently so I guess we will have to see. I hope Chuck wins though because I don't want him to retire! Speaking of retiring, I hope Randy decides to fulfill his contract and still defend his title. Did you see the fight against Gonzaga, wow and he's 44. I think it would be a waste if he came back for 2 fights out of retirement just to leave again. Sorry for talking about this in the new member thread. Hopefully you guys aren't upset like on some forums I'm on, about getting off topic in the wrong thread. I hate when people are anal about that stuff. First off, thank god the winner doesn't get a title shot, I read a quote somewhere last month which started off a rumor mill so I'm glad that's debunked. But now who will fight Jackson?

I'm looking forward to seeing Houston fighting Thiago Silva, though people say it'll test Houston's ground game, I don't see it going there tbh, it's going to be another quick fight and perhaps then Alexander will fight the winner of the Rashad/Bisping fight, I read that Houston does want to fight Bisping as they're both standups, and it'll be a good brawl so I can defo see this happening.

Couture's been offered a fight with Big Nog, not the Fedor fight he was looking for but it will fulfill his UFC contract, so negotiations may happen and who knows, maybe we could still see one of the biggest fights in history. Though if by some miracle this does happen, I can see Fedor killing Couture, the guy's amazing.

In the Serra/GSP fight, my mind was telling me GSP, he was easily the favorite to win that match, but my heart was saying Serra because of how heavily the odds were stacked against him. And I love a fight that "shocks the world" lol. After the fight, seeing Hughes expression just made me wish Serra knocks Hughes out and I think Serra's got a good chance in that fight. So I might put some money down and see if I get lucky.

I can see Wanderlei ruining Liddell, Silva's destroyed Jackson twice, and I can see him beating Liddell in the second round. Perhaps if Silva wins, he'll go straight in for a title shot, if Liddell wins... who knows.

Perhaps there should be a UFC or MMA thread who knows, there'd only be the two of us talking.

I thought this event was one of the worst I've seen overall.

Bisping and Rashad was a very close fight, I'm not sure who I'd give the win to, but I was disappointed with Rashad as he seems to have changed very little when it comes to going after it. Bisping wanted to fight, he wanted to win, Rashad just wanted the rounds to end... again.

Now I hear Rashad wants Griffin next. I like Forrest, but he's not exactly a monster in the stacked LHW division even if he is considered top 5 by rankings. If this fight does happen, I want to see Forrest own Rashad, but I can see the fight being exactly like the one he just had with Bisping, and I think Bisping's got better ground game.

Thiago Silva should now be given Rashad. That would be a much better fight. Silva looked very impressive against Houston and I too can't wait to see him fight again.

I think Karo should be given a match up with Fitch next, that would be an interesting fight, and then the winner could be next inline after GSP for a title shot.

Now I'm looking forward to 79, I want to see Silva own Chuck, mainly because like Rampage... I think Silva's much more media friendly than Chuck, and I find him to be a much more exciting fighter. He also has the greatest quotes of all time. haha

Oh yeah... I want to see Serra take out Hughes as well. Out of the two main events, this is the one I'm looking more forward to oddly enough. I think if Chuck had beaten Jardine, I might have been more interested... but I dunno, I'll probably get caught up in the hype surrounding it when that fight comes around.
