GH3 Demo -Demonoid (http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/1387795/16285795/)

GH3 Demo -Megaupload (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5OX44D2U)

Download this bad boy, burn it to a CD or DVD disk, whip it in your 360 and it will show up in the demos section.

The dude ripped it from his copy of Tony Hawks.
Not tried it myself yet as the downloads a little slow, but the comments have reassured me it works.

From another forum I go to...

if you dont get OXM or want to buy Tony Hawk get it here (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5OX44D2U)
just burn that .iso to a data disc and put it in the 360
GHIII will appear under demos

songs:
Hit Me With Your Best Shot - Pat Benatar
Lay Down - Priestess
Evenflow - Pearl Jam
Rock You Like A Hurricane - The Scorpions
The Metal - Tenacious D

it does time out after a while and send you back to dashboard
but thats to be expected and you can just restart it.
good stuff!

Thats another site with the download on, just in case that one you posted gets taken of or anything. (Y)

I downloaded the one off of Megaupload, burned the iso to a data CD with the basic Windows burner, and it said unreadable disc.

Something I did wrong?

Did you burn the ISO, to a data disc and not the ISO contents?

I used the torrent so unless the above makes sense, it may be a dodgy copy.

EDIT: Did you have any luck chazboy ?

Ok, i got the .iso, downloaded, but I have a few questions:
1. I got a gh3.iso AND a gh3.iso.part . am i supposed to burn both?
2. What burner should i use? there's one on windows normally isnt there?
3. I have blank cd-rw's and dvd-rw's. would those be different than data discs?

thanks in advanced for answering no matter how noobish the question is, i just wanna play some gh3!

Downloaded this yesterday..
I enjoyed it so much more than I thought I would (was really worried that Harmonix not being involved in the development), the game felt right and the two-player battle mode is just hysterical.
Now with reports that Rock Band may well be on the pricey side, I'm beginning to wonder which of the two titles I might go for.

Is this possible too play with ordinary controllers as I don't have a clue what the controls are?

Yes it is. LT = Green, LB = Yellow, RT = Blue, RB = Red and A = Orange.

Awesome game, I've been loving it so far and I've only got a pad to play it, will start saving now for the game.

This, or Rock Band?

That's the question isn't it?
I worry about how much they'll charge in the UK for Rock Band.
Plus, I have to admit that they've done a good job with GHIII. Yes it really doesn't advance the gameplay that much over GHII. However the track list is awesome and the battle mode really is good fun.
If they can do a reasonably priced game+drum set version of Rock Band then I may be tempted as it seems that Harmonix have made the online career aspect of the game really interesting.
At least, in some ways, the fact that we're not getting Rock Band in Europe until Q1 2008 means we can save for one whilst playing the other. Plus we can hear reactions to both ahead of release date as the game will be out in the States already.

I heard Rock Band would only be something like £80
its around $160 in US which roughly come sup to around the £80 mark
which is quite good
but i doubt it will be
:/
I might buy GH3 and get Rock Band with any money i get from Christmas :D

I hope you're right about the £80 mark, if it does come out as that then it might be worthwhile. Is that price for the complete package though? As I'd only need to get a drum kit (have two GH2 guitars and cannot see me wanting to undertake a vocal career with my voice!!!).

I may have found a GH3 bargain on a certain well-known certain auction site, it would appear that the game has no region restrictions! wOOt!

My college teacher uses them, he said delivery is around a week. They are good if you want games now in the UK before they come out here (UK). Sometimes they get them earlier than a week.

So Guitar Hero 3 turned up yesterday.
I only had time to give it a quick spin up just so that I could give feedback to the seller, but I must say it's better than I expected it to be when I initially found out that Harmonix were not going to be developing it.

It's true that they've not really been overly innovative with the game (Battle Mode doesn't seem to add much IMO), but the number of original recordings is fabulous (although if anyone is getting excited about the re-recorded "Anarchy In The UK", I wouldn't -it's a turgid effort) and, most importantly, it's a Guitar Hero game - muchos fun!
Looking forward to giving it a proper battering sometime soon, but for those who have enjoyed the games so far, this is really good stuff!

EDIT:
In other Guitar Hero III news:

GHIII Spurs Dragonforce Sales
Apparently, gamers are tuning into the band's signature brand of "extreme power metal."

Dragonforce, the British "extreme power metal" band appearing in Guitar Hero III, is enjoying a sales spurt since the game's late October release. The band's single "Through the Fire and Flames," heard in the game, is currently sitting pretty as the number one digital download single. Sales of the single increased 183 percent since the release of Guitar Hero III, beating out songs by The Killers, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, and Guns N' Roses.

Dragonforce is in Roadrunner Records' roster of artists. Among the bands featured in Guitar Hero III, Killswitch Engage, another Roadrunner group, is enjoying the highest album sales.

Well it worked on me.. Hadn't heard them before, but when "Through The Fire and Flames" popped up in GHIII I was hooked.
