Yeah, I decided to order them because they say '1st to play' on the pre-ordered games and in the emails they said 'You'll be among the first to play' blah blah.

There's no way play send them a day earlier, I've spent over £1000 on their and never got any games a day early. They always make release though.

They don't. Not always.
I pre-ordered San Andreas from there... 3 days late. Halo 3... not arrived yet (Brother brought it today from Sainsbury's as he wanted it badly... :P).

Its not Play's fault if they have sent it out then its up to Royal Mail to get it to you on time. With there being some postal strikes of late then games are in jeopardy of not reaching you for the desired date of release or what not.

If you are that desperate to play a game (im sure i will be when Mass Effect arrives) i would recommend GAME. I have never had a game from there later than a Thursday...i have even had them on a Tuesday before. They used to charge postage before and that was £1.50 so it was in my best interest to pay for the express postage at £3.95. If i did that then it was always there on a wednesday as it was shipped out on a tuesday on 24hr sign for postage. GAME don't charge for normal postage now but are still shipped on a Tuesday so its there for Thursdays anywho's. Pay for express and its even quicker. Remember if you pre-order from GAME and are a reward card member you get £2.00 worth in points..that can go towards the express postage.
Play are or should i say good. they are slower than before but thats prob due to how big they have become. bargins galore with play

Lol. Its Play's fault on San Andreas... they said they would have enough stock. They didn't, lol.

So has anyone had any problems with these "scratched"/failing Halo discs?
I have my Collector's Edition sat on my desk in front of me, and all seems ok (have checked the back of the disc) but a friend of mine had real problems yesterday: Halo would load, but he couldn't start a campaign game. How widespread is the problem in the UK?

Post it in a halo topic, not my skate topic :p
This is like the only non-halo topic out atm. I'm gonna set my pre-order up again and get the other postng.
