Basically you can update your status and sort of make mini posts up to 140 characters. You can follow someone and see all their tweets and anyone who follows you can see all of yours, thus making it some sort of very casual msn convo.

This is a very old thread, but I just made a Twitter account and I know it's much more popular these days, so - anyone else use it?

What do you use to post updates? I've been just using the default webpage, been thinking about GTalk, but that's another IM program to have open...
