anybody here play golf? ive just taken it up, wondered if you knew a good golfing forum you could pm to me? or if you have any tips ill take them to :)

I have a golf course across the road from where i live, i play occassionally its a great sport, tips i would give you always practice your swing before you take a shot and keep your eyes always on the golf ball lol and always wear a golf glove as i once did not and my right hand was aching in pain after 18 holes.

Yep, definitely. I enjoy it but every time it's on TV I cringe.

I don't know of any forums but if you're just starting out make sure you learn what situations each club is useful in, I've been playing for a few years but only recently started thinking more about which club I use when, it's made a big difference.

Golf's an awesome game, but very hard to master.
There's soooo many hints and tips that I could write pages of.
If your taking it seriously then a good idea would be to subsribe to 'Golf Monthly'. There's lots of tips in there, also stuff on the Golf Channel is worth watching.
Main tips I would advise would be...
1) Get your grip right.
2) Know how many yards there is to the pin.
3) Never try and smash it! Good, long golf shots always come from delicate swings....

But as I said before there's sooooo much to it, much more than anyone else thinks!!
