Word is that Activision will be releasing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) by November 9, 2007 in Europe. Or at least that's what a senior brand manager let loose from his tongue during a company press event within the week, Eurogamer reports.
However, representatives in the UK for Activision could only confirm a winter release date for the game as it was originally targeted for. This would lead us to believe that the November 9, 2007 release date, despite being seasonally accurate, is about as rock solid as a pillar of sand.
There is great anticipation that the fourth installment to Activision's Call of Duty series will get unravelled further at the upcoming huge European event - the Games Convention Developers Conference - hitting the Leipzig Business Center starting on August 22.
I actually think it will hit a fair bit sooner than that. There is a huge glut of games due in October and I think COD4 will be in there as well.
