Quick question about xbox 360

Whenever i play on an original xbox game and click on the guide button on my controller, why wont it let me acess my friends list or basically anything!
It only says shut down, and i want to play halo 2 with my mates! please help!

Yet it won't stop you from playing Halo2.

1) Put in the game.
2) Press START on the press START screen.
3) Sign in.
4) Press Y to access your Friends List.

And yeah, Cat's right, press Y and your friends list will pop up, it's far quicker than the guide tbh.

its a shame you cant use the 360 guide, would be cool to play Halo 2 with a pumping custom soundstrack.

Which you can still do if you activate it before booting up Halo 2 and then use the 360 remote to control the music.

yeah, on different games the friends list is in different places
like on halo 2, you just press "Y" and it pops up,
i think on PES 5 for xbox 1
you had to go on xbox live options, then click on Friends list
it varies with different games
just have a look around, orrr,
look in the manual (Y)

if u get ur music playing on your dashboard then load halo 2 it will keep on playing.
