XBOX 360 - Metal Gear Solid 4 Pre-Order - £39.99

Those of you wondering why this is not in the "Bargain Basement", well it's because this game hasn't even been announced for the XBOX 360 and already high-street and online retailer HMV (http://www.hmv.co.uk) have the game available to pre-order.

The site has the PlayStation 3 (http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&sku=544291) version available to pre-order for £39.99 with a release date of 18-4-2008 (18th April 2007) whilst the XBOX 360 (http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&sku=544291) version is available to pre-order for £39.99 with a release date of 26-9-2008 (26th September 2008).

Yes, I did say 26th September 2008 (for those who do not know, that is exactly one year after Halo 3's release) so could it all be speculation??

Same here, i personally don't think i will be buying it. It would seem odd having MGS4 on the 360. But hey, the more the merrier.

apperently they removed it :) because if i search the site theres no 360 version, and the 360 link you provided links to a playstation 3 game, so :)

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed, I remember reading it on IGN predictions and then it said confirmed.

I'll believe it when some credible stores start allowing pre-orders for it. Like EB Games/Gamestop, Play or GAME.

probably someone just ----ed up while entering it into their system. As the box art on the screenshot is also a PS3 case.

I don't think it was a mistake, just a premature action after OXM stated it's coming out for 360, and the recent quote from Konami saying that the franchise will appear on the 360.

Its a strange one this MGS 4 360. I think with all the stories on it over the last few months there must be somthing going on.
