"Seems like the Grand Theft Auto boys cannot catch a break. Once again, Rockstar finds itself battling the courts as the city attorney of Los Angeles has filed a lawsuit against Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two Interactive for "making misleading statements in marketing the game and engaging in unfair competition."

"# The city attorney’s office has sued the makers of “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” for allegedly hiding pornographic material inside the video game, officials said."

“Businesses have an obligation to truthfully disclose the content of their products — whether in the food we eat or the entertainment we consume,” Delgadillo said.

"The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, was part of an ongoing investigation into the marketing of video games, authorities said. The game also spurred several states to crack down on sales of mature-rated games to minors."

"Delgadillo is seeking civil penalties from Rockstar Games Take-Two Interactive. He also is requesting that Take-Two and Rockstar take action to ensure full disclosure to consumers about the content of their video games."

Nice biased article there, no attempt to represent Rockstar or Take Two's point of view.

San Andreas got a Mature rating, which is 17 an up. Supposedly, if these scenes had been declared, it would have gotten an Adults Only, 18 and up. So, this lawsuit is about selling pornographic materials to 17 year olds. In America, softcore psuedo ---- acted out by genetalia-less polygons are more offensive than acts of out right psychotic violence.

I fail to see how San Andreas didn't get the harshest rating possible, yet the Rolling Stones get censored at the Superbowl for a song they sang in the 60's.

It didn't get censored IN THE 60'S, but it does now? WTF?

The way things in America work are very, very questionable.

It was censored because it was on national televison with over 90 Million people watching it and of all ages and when the Rolling Stones appered on Televion in the 60's it was on Late Night shows when only the adults watch not on Prime time televison like it was in the SuperBowl.

I still think it's crazy, though. In the 60's people were censored to hell, and now there's hardcore ---- and stuff EVERYWHERE, so it just makes it seem a bit weird that they censored a few lines from two pretty un-offensive songs in the current day and age that we live in.
