That is ridiculous and exactly the reason why I hated the fact that EA had their own servers rather than using the Xbox Live servers....

Why? Burnout Revenge isn't listed...

I was being sarcastic. EA have butt stomped all over everything Xbox Live stands for.

I hope they die a horrible death.

I have a feeling it's coming.

I was worried for a second there. :)

I doubt it. All the 360 games listed all will soon have 2 sequels/yearly updates whereas there will only be one further Burnout sequel soon.

Tiger Woods 06 is a lot better though [still nothing compared to Links on the Xbox].

It's silly that you'll be unable to play those games online any more.

I always hated the way EA shoehorned in their own servers on top of the Xbox Live service.

Does anyone remember that EA refused to support Live until MS met them on their own terms? Who loses out because of it? Us, the gamers, that's who.

Let's be honest, how much does it cost to keep a couple of old computers running as servers for a particular game? Not very much, especially as the game gets older and it gets used less and less. At least the folk who bought the game can still arrange to meet up and play online if they wish, but EA would rather make sure you bought the latest annual update.

If, like me, this sort of news pisses you off then choose very carefully which EA games you buy in future. It wouldn't do to encourage them now, would it?

And their stuff just doesn't work. Friend Requests get lost, Game Invites get lost, ----ty navigation, slow in updating, etc.
