Bioshock Scoring Well

Bioshock looks to be living up to everyones expectations, OXM as give it 10/10, PC Gamer UK 95%, which in its lifetime has never gave a game over 96% (Half Life). I also heard it got a 5/5 some where but I hate the reviews that use 5 as the top mark so I didn't bother making a mental note of the reviewer.

Looks like this is going to be money well spent. Can't wait.

Bioshock- very good game by the sounds of it. 95% ha those pc gamer lads would never want to topple half life off the top, even though theres been alot better games since then. LMAO

It comes out on the 24th of August for us UK and i think the 21st for people in the US.

This game does look very good and from the in game videos i have seen plays very good just hope it is not short like The Darkness

Yeah, I was initially gutted that it doesn't do multiplayer, but then I've remembered that some of the better games [IMO] I've played lately I've not bothered to play the multiplayer. Like the Darkness, Prey, etc.

For me multiplayer is all about the big games, like R6.

PLus no multiplayer means that they'll concentrate more on the single player and some stuff I've seen so far has been amazing, like the Bioshock ingame advertisement, etc.

Yeah, I'm not bothered about the lack of multiplayer either. Some games are just designed from top to bottom for single play, shoe horning in some multiplay just for the sake of it usually doesn't work out.

Thing is, it's 'while stocks last' which makes me suspect it's already over subscribed so I'm not taking a chance on pre-ordering from play.

I'll get it cheaper from shopto.

And it sounds very good, I've heard the game lasts a veeerry long time, so the lack of MP shouldn't even be noticable.

Bioshock has received a 10/10 from OXM UK. The only other games to manage that beforehand were Halo 2 and Oblivion.

I don't trust individual reviews, but I generally read a variety of them and see what the general consensus is.

However, with Bioshock I have only read the final scores. I have a feeling that reading a review would spoil it.

Eurogamer have a good no spoiler review up for this and they gave it 10/10.

Lowest score so far is 94%, now that is a rare thing.

I played the demo last night and it's a gorgeous looking game, you would need a ninja PC to have it looking as good so it's 360 version all the way for me.

From the demo it's impossible to rate the game but the potential is plain for all to see. We'll just have to take it on faith from the reviewers that it really is a 10/10 game.

Out next week, can't wait!

I Has a sneak peak at the achievements, it appears that if you want to grab em all, you'll be needing to follow one route as 2 or 3, are the type that you can only get one if you do one thing, but you can get both if you do the other>

you know what i think theirs lots of great games that had absolutly crap multiplayer lately (prey, the darkness) so i guess im glad it doesn't have any coop would of been great

It is a great game only thing is there is not enough content or things to do in the game, everyone i know who has got this game completed it in about 4 days on that basis it is not worth £40.

Going through the game again but doing things different like killing or saveing the little sisters only gives you a different ending video.
