I supposed it will be GAME for me, just because I can walk out of the shop holding it VERY tightly and so I can play it as soon as I get home! I can't wait for Internet sites to deliver consoles it's too painful! :D
Probably Argos or Woolworths i like buying expensive items from them if anything goes wrong there dead easy to take stuff back to

Guys, when we launch, there will be an Amazon link to pre order the console from (.com or .co.uk depending on your location), so if you guys are going to preorder the console, please try and do it through us.
It will not cost you any extra (still £280 and same price for American users, so its not more expensive), Amazon is one of the only places in UK that can guarantee launch day delivery. For those waiting on game, erm...yeah best of luck with that, lol.
There will be a link to click on, make sure you use that link to preorder the console. That way you can help us out by paying for the servers and stuff :)

Amazon is one of the only places in UK that can guarantee launch day delivery.
We have been informed that the Xbox 360 will be in short supply on the day of release, and, unfortunately, this means we can't guarantee that pre-orders will be delivered by day of release.

Yeah, just noticed that.
I've been told they are fine at the moment, but if there is a significant increase, they will source them from other companies.
Looks to be set at 90% possible to meet the demand, they just added that to cover the 10% chance of things not going to plan.
Theres PLENTY of Core systems going, so I may just preorder the core version and get the Hard drive and buy the others seperately. Bit more expensive, but better than waiting 4 months :p

They can't guarantee I'll get one on launch date due to the shortage. I suppose it will be a case of first come first served. If I don't get one I will have to wait just like the rest of the population but I hope they will have one available for launch day.

i will probably get mine from walmart. because i live in a very hickish location so not very many people play video game except me and my friends. so walmart should not have sold out. they hadnt sold out of their preorders yet. but i dont have the money right now to preorder it so. yea.

Seriously, though, yeah, Edinburgh's population is fast catching Glasgow's. People want out of this place, and people want into Edinburgh. For some reason. Maybe cobbled streets and moss-covered castles are all the rage these days. :D

I don't mind waiting about for my system to arrive. I remember I had a PSP delivered for UK launch day and that came to me about 10:30 in the morning so I didn't really have that long to wait. But I can see that most people would prefer a store pick up.

Got mine ordered finally at a local Currys, he reckons Im guarunteed to get one on release day, I'm only the 4th person to put a deposit down on a 360. Full system at standard prices, so no complaints from me.
He also reckons that the demand for PSP's was far greater, and theyve been told that they'll recieve more 360's than they did psp's.

Hmm, that might not be a bad idea, going into somewhere like Comet, Currys or Dixons. I'm sure the prices won't be that much more expensive than in game shops (if at all), and there's probably much more chance of actually getting something.

Well, I paid a £20 deposit, its the 'Pro' system, and it's costing £280, same as in the likes of Play.com, Amazon.com etc, and if the guy was virtually guarunteeing it i was going for it. I have to go in and pick it up, but thats not really a problem, I'm not one of these people that can take days off work to wait on a delivery. So it works out fine, they also said theres a chance they will offer a discount on any games I want to buy it, but there weren't many details of that.
Comet (next door to the Currys I put deposit down in it) are asking for a £10 deposit, but they couldn't tell me what system it was for (core or pro), so I didn't want to risk it and end up with the core system.
I think Argos might be a good bet if people are going to leave it to release day to buy it, a mate who works in there says that they are taking NO pre-orders on it at the moment, because their policy is that they wont take orders if they cant guaruntee it.

Hmmm, Argos is the nearest one of these stores to me. I wouldn't want to risk that, although there is a Comet nearby, as well as Woolworths, Gamesworld and CA Games. I'm expecting Gamesworld and CA Games to sell out as they're just small gaming shops. One of the three big stores should have something, though.

Today I saw and played with a 360 at Future Shop, the local retailer I work at...2 Microsoft guys came in and we chatted for a while, and I could see a white box under his coat, it was the 360...It's SO awesome.
Can't wait until I get to take mine home :D
I ordered from comic and they said it was £280, so it must the the premium...
And they said I wa sthe 1st to pre-order, so its all good.

My Mum pre-ordered my XBOX 360 from HMV today.
They are expecting to get 80 in on launch date and i'm 37th on the waiting list.
So i'm guaranteed an XBOX 360 on launch date! :)
Although i'll have to wait till christmas to get it :(

The guy said I was guarenteed one on launch day, but I'm going to get up there pretty early on the 2nd of December just to make sure.

Well if they dont give it to you on launch day after you pre-ordered it, it pretty much defeats the whole purpose of making a pre-order in the first place..

Yeah, I'm expecting there will be enough on launch day, but if they're really is a shortage, and they're offered more money for consoles on launch day (from people who haven't pre-ordered, obviously), then I don't know, maybe they would take it. They could then just claim to people that pre-ordered that they didn't get enough in originally to satisfy the demand.
Meh, it probably won't happen, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

The bloke said i'm in line for the 2nd batch of 360's and i won't get one on launch date, but definately before christmas.
And i need it for christmas so that's okay.

Hmm, could you not have shopped around a bit?
Places like Gamestation were always going to be popular, and so it would be difficult to get one on launch day. Go to somewhere like Argos, Comet, Currys, Dixons, Woolworths and you're bound to find one of them who can guarentee you the thing on launch day.
At least you'll get it before Christmas, though, so I suppose it's not that bad. Christmas without a 360 would kill me.
