I've had my Xbox for a long time, even though it's one of the newer generations I've still had it a while. Up untill getting Madden I didn't have any probelms with it (although I replaced one Thompson Xbox already). But when I got Madden '06 my Xbox started acting up. Acting up as in ticking really loudly for some reason, and after that shaking to the point of shaking the stand my TV and Xbox are on. Was this from Madden being in there for a couple weeks straight? Or is my Xbox just dead?

I think your Xbox has cancer :(

Sounds strange does that, couldn't really say what the problem is.

nothing to do with what happened to your xbox. but it reminded of someone i know had a tv drop on his xbox. every time it he turns it on i makes a horrible grinding sound and clacking. it sounds like its going to die every time he turns it on. :D :|

I've had 2 PS2s replaced due to faults.

Which is why I dislike Sony. I spent over £400 on their stupid machine.

That's a dedicated PES fan for you. :(

Do people use their xbox's as doorstops or something? I've had my xbox since launch, meaning that it still has the thompson drive in it and I have NEVER had a stuff up with it...ever! Seems as though everyone's got a faulty xbox but mines still working as perfectly as when I first pulled it out of the box 3.5 years ago (Australian launch was in early 2002) and it plays all games smoothly and never goes dead on my, or makes wierd noises or nothing. The only upgrade I even got was the replacement power cord everyone gets when you apply for one on xbox.com...

Either my xbox is invincible, or I just look after it really well...it's probably due to all the X-Ray radiation my X-Box got when it went through the security check at the airport on several occasions...maybe that's why they call it the xbox, becasu anything radioactive with an X in it's label must be good for it...do I hear Xenon light anyone?
