Which is best? PS3 or 360?

My vote is biased. I only have a 360 and have never experienced the PS3.

I think the question is abit void, there's not going to be any definitive answer.

I've had my 360 since release day. I've just got a new GT for experimental purposes.

the 360 is better i have both, ps3 is on top for backwards compatible games but thier hasnt been much on th enew games front thats worth getting thats why the 360 wins loads of great games

Wow. That is some Gamerscore!! I think your right on the game front........at the moment at least. I think Home will be good on the PS3.

Same opinion as Raised (I have both too).

There's nothing on the PS3 to draw me away from my 360 right now...in fact my PS3 has been played for maybe 2 hours in the 2-3 months that I've had it.

Yeah I have both as well and, at the moment I prefer the Xbox. Mainly becuase there is a lack of Killer apps for the PS3.

I said not sure yet, mainly because I like to formulate my own opinions before rating one game above another and the same applies for the hardware it's played on.

So unfortunately I haven't got access to a PS3 as soon as I would like, so I have no opinion which is better, so I voted that way.

However if I was forced to say, I'd say at the moment the Xbox 360 is better but that the Playstation 3 certainly does have potential to be a lot better than it is.

Such a bad question to ask on a still 360 dominated website!..i've tried for months to tell people that the ps3 isn't that bad - it just hasn't any games at the moment and that Sony's fault no one else's.

Currently i have a ps3, a Wii and had several 360's - which is better? Machine wise - ps3 - looks better, is made better, better functions for those that aren't a huge fan of online gaming (me!!!) and when its up and running will pull the 360's pants down - no question about that, we are already seeing that the 360's lack of next gen HDMI 1.3 and DVD format is causing major problems for developers who want to showcase their best. The 360 is a very very good machine and has a wide range of games - but im afraid im not a huge FPS fan so 99.9% of the games don't appeal to me:p - Mass Effect - well thats a different story but that's way way of been finished now (Bioware crying over size of DVD's!)..bar that then nothing appeals to me anymore.

Where's the Wii in the listing? Fair enough not next gen looks but certainly game play wise. I admit i wasn't too fused at them at first but once i got to grips with one properly a trip to GAME beckoned. The likes of Zelda, Mario Charged Strikers and Sonic are great..fun games that last a while certainly a key element that's missing in the new HD era games. Bring on GTA IV - for the PS3 of course - we all know Rockstar prefer the PS3 already

I like both consoles the same overall but Microsoft's Xbox Live is clearly much better for the online gaming experience as opposed to the free service by Sony. Both consoles have some good and bad points but as has been mentioned I would be inclined to go more towards the 360 purely because of the volume of games it has currently released for it.

anyways all im say is not one ps3 or 360 game in that list nowt has come out this year for the 360 that worth getting for me as of yet, ive went off racing games soo no forza 2 as of yet. and the ps3 was amazing infact it was the best thing ive played all year then i finished resistance fall of man and wondered what to do next.

I've only got a 360, but looking at the PS3 from an outside point of view, all that I would use it for is the upgraded PS2 game display, Home (when it's out), and Motorstorm. Everything else games-wise that interests me will be on the 360, and the PS3 doesn't have Live, which is a major drawback for me.

There is a nice quote in this months Edge magazine about GTA4.

One thing that Rockstar is especially proud of is that the game is 100 per cent seamless and load free. Even the remarkably detailed, authentically unstylish interiors dont give the new engine a moments pause.

This comment was made in relation to all three versions :D

Well were to i begin...Bioware aren't happy about squeezing Mass Effect onto 1 dual layer - they have said there that 360 owners will be seeing a lot of downloadble content to see out their full epic story.

Then as mentioned Rockstar have said in so many words that its harder for them to get it as good as they can on a 360 compared to the ps3 and its Blu-Ray disc which can accomodate all of the loading cache and what not...i read also that the ps3 ver will be more user friendly aswell.
