Meh, what a noob:)
Seriously thought. I doubt it was specific to the PS2, could happen with any console, or as has been said he could have a medical thing. Still pretty funny that the kids got it taken away.

This is something you can develop from viewing fast moving images those which frequent most games of late, it's related directly to Photosensitive Seizures.

Symptoms may include:

-Lightheadedness
-Altered Vision
-Eye or Face Twitching
-Jerking or Shaking of the Arms or Legs
-Disorientation
-Confusion
-Momentary Loss of Awareness

If you suffer from these symptoms you should contact a doctor immediately to gain further Medical Advice, however if you have been diagnosed or to take precautionary measures the frequency of these episodes can be reduced by

-Sitting further away from the TV
-Use a Smaller Television
-Play in a Well-Lit Room
-Do not Play while Drowsy or Fatigued

This is why it's important to read the Manual especially the Health and Safety Section. Also Children and Teenagers are more likely to suffer from this than Adults.
