What we’re playing this month
With the month of September over, the staff here at Console Monster reflect back at last month’s current events in the gaming world, as well as give a little insight of their gaming antics this month, and what they are looking forward to playing this month. Over the past few days we’ve covered what we’ve been playing, our thoughts on the 360 price drop, our impressions on Sony’s Life with PlayStation Channel and our stellar hot-list of games coming out this year.
Today we wrap up our Monster Month articles with a look ahead in the short term, this month in fact. We let you know what we’ll be playing and buying this month.
Dave: There are five games released this month that I am looking for. They are: FIFA 2009, LEGO Batman, Fable 2, Fallout 3 and Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3. Thankfully my birthday is at the start of the month so I can afford pretty much all of them when the time comes.
Rob: I’m not really excited about much this month apart from Saints Row 2. I loved the original and cannot wait for this and hopefully I will have completed GTA IV by the time it comes out! I may spend some time with FIFA 09, but I”m going to focus on the summer games I didn’t complete as well.
Luke: There are so many to choose from this month. The battle between FIFA 09 and PES 09 catches my eye. Also Fable 2, Saints Row 2, MotoGP 08, James Bond…Soo Many!
Anthony: This month will see me chip more away from GTV IV’s story mode, the return of my second repaired Xbox 360 and maybe the release of the New Xbox Experience (unlikely). I’ll no doubt be in WipeOut HD loads, both on and offline. Little Big Planet will also be released, so I’ll be scouting out the user created levels and hopefully be joining up with a few like-minded fellows in the game. It’s looking like October will see my PS3 see the most use out of all of my consoles, which has taken a while!
Reece: Didn’t I just answer this question before? Oh well, particularly for next month I will be spending most of my time enjoying Fallout 3 and Fable 2, which will seriously put me in a state of debt to the point of living on beans until their released; but oh will it be worth it, and until then, at least my force shall by strong!
Chris: I’ll be trying to get as much gaming time in as possible. I’m going to try finish Castle Crashers and actually play some more Chrono Trigger, which is my favourite RPG ever now. I unfortunately never got to play it when it was released and I’m too impatient for the remake on the DS.
Let us know what you will be picking up this month in the comments below. Until next months batch of Monster Month, happy gaming folks!
